TV Gal wants to rule the Emmy world. And she'd like to nominate David, Amy, and Alexis.

DAmn it, and here I was applauding, then I checked out her choices and well, how could I possibly take it seriously now. "The OC" as Best drama series?

*falls on floor laughing her buttocks off*

Well she did hook the tail on the donky with...

...Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series

Carlos Bernard, Tony on "24"
Alexis Denisof, Wesley on "Angel"
Victor Garber, Jack on "Alias"
Walton Goggins, Shane on "The Shield"
Chris Pratt, Bright on "Everwood"

Everyone listed more than deserves the honor. As much as I love Wes and Alexis acting this past season, Carlos Bernard, aka Tony on 24, really delivered last season. Victor Garber wasn't even that prominent in season 3 of Alias. The other two also give stellar performances.
Um, I don't get how she has all the Angel characters nominated (well, 3) and doesn't see it as a nominee for best series.

Emmys are ludicrous in any event.
I'm going with the outside chance that Angel gets an nomination for Visual Effects or something like that.
Damn it, and here I was applauding, then I checked out her choices and well, how could I possibly take it seriously now. "The OC" as Best drama series?

Do you even watch The OC? Its first season was, bar none, the most tightly scripted year of television I've ever watched. It simultaneously maintained season-longs arcs, while relentlessly shoving characters and plots along without ever (ok, maybe once, that stupid Oliver...) allowing them to get too old or too comfortable.

Joss allowed Fred-Wesley to stumble along for 2+ seasons, annoying and frustrating both fans and foes of the ship. On The OC, that entire mess would've simmered, boiled, boiled over and cleaned up - to the complete satisfaction of fans everywhere - in less than half a season. And oh lord, how I wish angsty/whiny Buffy in Season 6 had been written by The OC's scribes... the Buffyverse still owns my heart, but it could've learned a few lessons from The OC.
Yeah... The OC started in the Summer, so I watched a fairly good amount of it. It Sucks!!

Ok, fine. It doesn't suck, cause I do remember being all caught up with it like everyone else, but after a while it got stale.

The O.C. doesn't suck. It just has uninteresting characters, and the plot is based on freshening up old soap opera cliches. I'll agree with wren that it's well structured. But the only real reason to watch is for the snazzy dialogue. The O.C. is a good show, but not a great one.
Well, I wouldn't go as far as wren did and call season one of The O.C. "the most tightly scripted year of television I've ever watched." But it is a great show and more than deserving of however many Emmy nominations they can throw at it. At it's core it's a silly teen soap, but it transcends the genre with a hell of a lot of wit, intelligence and good old fashioned great writing. And am I the only person in the world who thought the Oliver storyline was a hoot? Maybe it's my love for those old school Melrose Place plotlines.

But um, shouldn't Adam Brody and Amy Acker be in the supporting categories?
