Dreamwatch top 10 women in Sci-Fi. Guess who's number 1? That would be SMG. With Alyson Hannigan at number six. It's the September issue, out worldwide now.

Well, the list is really more about the characters than the actors portraying them. For reference, the full list goes (from #10 to #1): Lt. Uhura, Princess Leia, Sarah Connor, Sydney Bristow, Willow Rosenberg, Xena, Kathryn Janeway, Ellen Ripley, Dana Scully, and Buffy Summers. Faith and a few others get honorable mentions.

[Hmm. The Nov. 30 bug strikes again: I just fixed a typo and my comment got moved up to the top....]

Okay... WHAT?!

I was perfectly pleased with the placement of Buffy, Scully, Xena and Willow. And, it's really cool that Sarah Connor is up there. Really cool.

Until I saw... Princess Leia? Number NINE?

By all counts, the woman should never, ever stray from the top five. At least. Ever.

Does anyone else find this outlandish?

herb, Who's on the rest of list, besides Sarah and Aly?
Gillian Andersen and Jennifer Garner are obvious bets. Duh! They're on the cover, but which other actresses are in it?
The adorable Alyson is only number six? Grr... where's my elephant gun...
From memory, since I only had a quick glance at the mag yesterday, Kate Mulgrew and Lucy Lawless.
That's great that Buffy and Willow are so prominent on the list and Faith got an honorable mention! Just shows how powerful the impact the Buffyverse has made!
On my personal list, Aly is ahead of SMG. But MY list has less to do with characters and more to do with girl next door sex appeal ;-) And of course there is the red-head factor...

Doc
Exactly, blwessels.
Well happy with Buffy and Willow, and I suppose I can see how they didn't want to put two slayers in there so I'l, forgive Faith's absence, (At least she's mentioned) but really.....Captain Janeway??? And Captain Janeway beating out Leia and Uhura?? The words 'oh' and 'please' swiftly spring to mind.
Yes, I'd think Seven of Nine would've beaten Captain Janeway!! And she beat out Xena too?
I was surprised that none of Angels' female leads esp Cordy and IIlyria got any mentions unless I overlooked anything but I am happy that my girls Buff and Will were on the list and blwessels i agree with u wholeheartedly about 7 of 9.
