Which Buffy/Angel character would you like to see on the big screen?
To no great surprise, IGN FilmForce readers pick Spike as their top choice though a strong case is made for a Mr Gordo movie.

I've liked Spike a lot better in Angel this year. In Season Seven of Buffy I found him, honestly quite boring, but Season Five, while not developing the character much, gave him that razor sharp edge that I like about him, and pairing him with Angel was an...interesting choice
My fourth choice for a character movie would probably be Willow, or actually quite weirdly Harmony. I don't know what it is but I can just see her in sort of a Sex in the City with blood instead of Manhattan's. I don't know if its just me...yeah its just me. Gwen, Giles and Oz are another few possibilities of movies I'd like to see.
Although at this stage, Buffy, Angel and most importantly Faith deprived, I'll watch anything...

Now the telemovies are a totally different issue as we are no longer talking about who would be the best commercial choice or the most likely to sell the most movie related merchandise. For the telemovies it would be Spike all the way for me closely followed by Faith, Illyria, Willow and Giles.
Which ironically is also my order of choice for the lead of the next spinoff show.

Numfar would be good but he is way too busy making movies!

Yes, but all he wants to do is dance, dance, dance.

I do believe James could carry his own movie easily. I've always wanted to see ensouled Spike explored a bit more. I also liked how Willow tapped into the white magic in "Chosen", so I'd like to see that aspect explored as well.

He has the right build, features, pretty much everything. Definately would have to work on getting the accent right but i'm sure he could get that sorted given time :)

Alternately, I want to see Oz, Xander, Harmony, Clem, and a zombiefied Jonathan in a time travel oriented action scifi horror comedy that spoofs everything from Blazing Saddles to I Robot. Put them in a VW bug that's more temporally distorted than a tardis and keeps jaunting back to Woodstock. Throw in Amy as a bad guy and you got yourself a film.

Mmmmm.....Giles and Spike....they would definitely please my fanbase....simultaneously.....concurrently....and all at the same time....

Throw in Illyria and/or Willow to the mix and you have my ultimate slayerverse combo.

I would love to see some Harmony/Andrew interaction as well. I think it'd be hilarious...especially if they developed a "romantic" relationship (it'd be even funnier because of the popular belief that Andrew is gay) because then they could do the whole "forbidden love" deal. Of course, this is all just the random craziness that finds its way into my thoughts, and should not be taken seriously under any circumstances.
lady_fantastic | August 17, 23:10 CET
..oh. And Clem ate Kitty Fantastico somewhere late in season six.

Actually I think any ensemble movie would work well.

Don't know why but the guy that played the Romulan clone of Picard in Star Trek: Nemesis immediately came to mind.
Anyone know his name?
Darkest Soul | August 18, 02:01 CET
For some reason, I've come up with Jude Law for playing Ethan.
Simon | August 18, 02:29 CET
Jude Law would also be good for younger Giles. OOOhhhhh, that's hot!

Besides, if they can use Anthony Hopkins to play a young Hannibal, we can die Robin's hair black for flashbacks. Sorry, just not a fan of different actors for younger versions of roles. For example, Ewan McGregor is a good Obi-Wan but I always have to consciously remind myself he really is the same character as Alec Guiness was in the original Star Wars. I just see a different guy, can't help it.
But while we're talking character movies how about Principal Snyder! Oh no, he's dead...well maybe 'Snyder, The Early Years'!!!
*crickets chirping*
Fine.....I see how ya are....
Oh well I said it before and I'll say it again: Spike, Faith, Giles, Willow. With loads of guest stars, needless to say...

Yeah he had humor too. When my wife asked if he could sign our Buffy calendar on his birthday he said it'd take too long since it's February, hehe. Flustered her a bit, but then she was in a state of fluster already.
I don't know, I think his facial features are a hell of a lot better than mine......course that ain't saying much;-)
"I think Spike and Illyria would be a good team and they had a chemestry in season 5. Maybe a TV movie where Spike is her pet."
Hmmmmmm I could see that.....Hey, I'd be her pet......

The Reavers have mutated due to a virus called Vlad (biting from Blade here, no pun intended). They mistakenly ate a vampire and wore his skin and the infection spread like wildfire.
Nobody but the Slayer can help, so, since they've heard the tales, they jettison around the Sun (and here we bite from Star Trek) and Serenity lands in L.A., circa 2001. They call up Angel Investigations, who call Buffy and grab Sajahn, and it's ON!
Everyone notices how strange it is that Zoe looks just like Jasmine. Simon and Wes bond, and Buffy and Mal get married. The End.
Oh, it's so bad I know, and the timeline is wanked to hell, but wouldn't it be FUN? Heh heh.

Also, think how attracted Jayne would be to Buffy as well and it would be quite fun to see him grab her ass and her then proceed to kick him flying across the ship which would of course make Jayne be attracted to her even more! Better yet, Faith and Jayne could make quite the pair!
Okay back to possible real scenarios. Well, Wesley's dead so for now that kind of keeps him out of the picture so it would definitely be Spike and Illyria first and if Illyria isn't going to be in it throw in that crazy slayer Dana. She and Illyria were the most intriguing new characters introduced and it would be great to see what they could do with them. But first show a scene at the new Watcher's council where Dana, in a psychotic rage, accidentally kills Kennedy. Okay, that last part was just mean but it's Kennedy and I just can't help myself!
Firefly Flanatic | August 18, 07:33 CET
And Jayne and Faith.....grrr. Hey I like Jayne but my Faith should just kick his ass....(sorry...protective. And yes, she's my Faith. Anyone gotta problem with that???? Ahem...) Say, wouldn't Angel wanna kick Jayne's ass? Seeing as how he looks like a certain evil lawyer guy....
Funny thing is someone at the Comicon asked Joss if Fray could ever meet Cap Mal and his crew but Joss said those were two separate universes. 'No monsters in the Firefly 'verse.' Which killed my hopes for a comic cross-over....
"Dana, in a psychotic rage, accidentally kills Kennedy. Okay, that last part was just mean but it's Kennedy and I just can't help myself! "
Now now, don't be hasty. I do like how you think;-)

A-boo, A-hoo! LOL bl, that is great!
And I think you are right about Jayne. And oh yeah Mal is man enough for Buffy. They'd be great together. Someday, she'd have to tell him that she killed his great-great-great uncle Caleb. But Mal wouldn't mind, seein' as how it was on the side of good... ;)
And Passion, got his number? Heh.
Willowy | August 18, 09:28 CET
Nah! As I said it's all just wanked, but hoo-boy I'd sure looove to see it! Even in a comic or fanzine. Wish I had time to write one... well anyway thinking about it is great fun.
Willowy | August 18, 10:12 CET
Dang! I missed that one! And if Buffy could've seen the Alliance Agent from the FF pilot, she might wonder if she hadn't seen a demon use that face as a mask once....and Angel might say he attended a bachelor party once....ah man I got too much free time.....
"Nah! As I said it's all just wanked, but hoo-boy I'd sure looove to see it! Even in a comic or fanzine."
I know! I was actually kind of expecting it to happen in a comic, but nope, Joss wants to keep the 'verses separate. Though I'm sure there's some fanfic out there...

One final one, someone may notice that the doctor who fell to pieces bore a more than passing resemblance to the captain of the alliance cruser from Serenity (parts 1 and 2) and also how his voice is oddly similar to that of a powerful Vengence Demon :)
