Foursome Joining The Hard Easy. David Boreanaz, Henry Thomas, Vera Farmiga and Bruce Dern will star in The Hard Easy, an independent heist film currently shooting in Los Angeles with Ari Ryan directing.

Good for David, though if he keeps finding work it does make those WB tv movies less and less likely (or at least any with Angel in them)
To be honest i would much rather see David get his wish to do other work such as this for a while. That way if and when an Angel project does happen he will come back to the role refreshed and ready to put the pointy teeth back in.

Plenty of other characters to keep the 'verse alive in the meantime.
First Henry Thomas films "I Capture the Castle" with Marc Blucas and now another film with David...
I would also like to see David be successful in his career and if he wants to come back and do Angel it will be because he wants to and isn't desperate for work.
Oh yes, I didn't mean to come across as wanting him to fail so that he comes crawling back to Angel, I'm always happy when any of the Whedonesque alumni/alumnae are sucessful and as much as I want to see more of Buffy and/or Angel I am quite happy for the tv movies to star any of the other fantastic actors/characters.
Wow!! David seems to be having little trouble in finding of the jobs, post Angel. Good for him!!
Paul_Rocks, sorry if that came across as me thinking you wanted him to fail so he'd come back to Angel. That wasn't my intent at all. I just meant that he has been adamant in stating he didn't want to do tv Angel movies and if his career bombed he may do it out of desperation. This way, if he's successful, and he does do an Angel movie it will be because he wants too.
Hehe, as long as we've clarifed that neither of us wanted to come across the wrong way and that we don't want David to fail but will be happy if sometime down the line he decides to do further Angel projects because he wants to :)
NTTAWWT!

LOL!

;)
Henry Thomas? Haha! So David accidentally slays E.T. thinking he is a mutated sluggoth demon? Sorry, its pre-coffee time.
I think indie films are a great first step. Just see Michelle in Misterious Skin, with great reviews in Venecia Film Festival.

And David told HT that he took E.T. to a farm where he could run around and play with all the other e.t.s.
This sounds much better than the “Mr Fix It” thingy. I’m pleased it’s an independent film and also that he will be playing off other characters in an ensemble. I wonder if it will be more of a comedy/caper or straight drama? I can't tell from the description. Anyway, his agent or manager seems to be earning his or her percentage.
On the Howard Stern Show this morning, Stern referred to David Boreanaz as ..well I forget the exact phrase but he meant basically that David was a one trick pony. His point was that there are talented people in Hollywood who get to do one thing and then they never achieve greatness with a different role. He compared David to people like the black guy on Miami Vice. Ever see him doing anything else? Nope? That's what Howard meant.

So if David can get successful independent films that steer him away from permanently being seen as just Angel and never anything else, more power to him. I loved his work on Angel, but if we're ever to see the characters of the JossVerse again, they need to be played by fresh meat. I hope The Hard Easy is a fantastic success.
According to IMDB.com Henry Thomas also starred in David's film "I'm with Lucy". Is that true? I haven't seen it.
This movie sounds interesting. I think I need to find out more about it to decide if I want to see it, but I know I don't NOT want to see it, so that's promising. There are way too many movies I absolutely DO NOT want to see. Scooby Doo was one of those. The CGI dog really creeps me out.
“His point was that there are talented people in Hollywood who get to do one thing and then they never achieve greatness with a different role.”

Why did he single David out as an example? I don’t think it’s quite fair to call him a “one trick pony” when he (or any actor) is not in control of casting (or typecasting). He has to be given a chance. The best he can do is get back out there and be fortunate enough to be cast in a variety of roles.
The one I’m actually more concerned about is James Marsters. Goodness knows he has more than enough talent and could probably do anything, but he can’t hesitate. Get back on that horse. Any horse. If that means guest-starring on a series, so be it. You never know who may be watching and wants to cast you.
I wouldn’t wish greatness on any of the actors from the ‘verse if it meant they became such huge stars that their privacy was constantly invaded by tabloid “scandal” or they were stalked by paparazzi. I do want them all to live very comfortably as working actors, but in the end, a lot of it is just the luck of the draw.
