New Horror based comic comes out with a heavy influence of the Whedonverse. Buffy/Angel novelist Jeff Mariotte has joined forces with artist John Cassaday of Astonishing X-men to create an new comic about the Old West with a twist of horror, "Desperados: Banners of Gold" which rides out for a December release.

'Desperados' is an older title (this is a "spin off" or "sequel"), and is actually where Cassaday first got his start. Can't recall off the top of my head if Mariotte was the writer of the original series or not, but it's the first place anyone ever heard of Cassaday.
And, Desperados is awesome, to boot.
