Producer Ponders 'Tru Calling' Fate. First official word from the series producer on the alleged move to The WB and the straight to DVD rumours. Note his bitterness about the Fox network regarding whether the show will ever air again.

Reminds me of Tim with 'Wonderfalls' and Joss with 'Firefly'. But, at least, TC had a full season (and a 1/4?) to prove itself. Poor Joss watched his show get driven into the ground from the very beginning. And Tim, how can you prove a show in just four episodes? Those two really had a reason to be bitter.
Yeah Tru had way mre chances than WF or FF. And I was surprised to hear they got renewed. Of course....now they haven't. And that is where the Tru people have grounds to be bitter. To get a second season, only to then NOT get a second season is a ridiculous way of treating a show and it's people. They should have said at the end of last season that they wouldn't be coming back. This almost seems deliberatedly cruel.

I think he was disappointed, but not so much bitter. It's difficult to be bitter when you are getting paid so. much. money. to do this sort of thing. Maybe if Wonderfalls had been his baby, but he's such a pragmatic soul.

Joss, I think, was bitter and wounded. But then, I don't live in his head.
