A live chat with Sarah Michelle Gellar tonight on MSN Live. The Grudge publicity machine rolls relentlessly on with this chance for fans to put questions to Sarah. Starts at 7pm ET.

Do we have to sign a loyalty oath before we ask a question??
I would imagine questions will be filtered first.
I would imagine questions will be filtered first.

Probably so. This ain't no willy-nilly event like a convention...
if (question.containsIgnoreCase("buffy")
{
reply("Blah blah blah bigger things blah blah moving on");
}

I wonder if its real or just an AI answering? :-)
Poor Sarah, No matter what she says or does there will always be people with their rash judgements. Who knew that it was such a grave sin to actually desire more or think outside of Buffy.
Well said. Gellar is being criticised here for doing something that probably any other actor from Buffy would be praised for. I do understand why some fans find her troublesome, but maybe we should give her a bit more slack sometimes. She's only promoting her film, which is hardly a crime.
Aw...This sucks!Only users 18 and over are able to participate.
Just curious, can we post the transcript in full here for those who couldn't participate?
I think some folks are just getting a bit od'd on SMG right now, with the major pushing of The Grudge--and maybe a bit bitter that she didn't try 1/10 as hard to promote Buffy. And since there's nothing new in any of the interviews, it gets a bit old, and well...predictable.
Well, SMGfan has posted the transcript here.
Mostly fluff, but she does tell us what her character is in "Southland Tales," which, for me at least, was quite an exciting revelation . . .
Never fails to amaze me when people start speeches to defend SMG....while no one is really attacking her. Are there invisible posts here I can't see?

Anyway, anyone here manage to get on the MSN thing?
SNT, maybe recent photo shoots were research??????
Hmmm. I just skimmed it. Mostly fluff, as you say SNT. But interesting that she chose "The Body" as her greatest acting challenge to date, rather than one of her films. That's certainly the episode in which i was most impressed with her talent.
And the one other question I saw that mentioned Buffy she dealt with gracefully, saying it made her proud whenever she caught an episode. There might have been other mentions - i glanced over it pretty quickly.
WWBD: ouch! Although the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the photoshoot was this exchange in "Family":

Buffy: Oh, you're a god. You're like the ... god of boyfriends.
Riley: Nah, I just like it when you owe me favors.
Buffy: Well, this earns you a big favor. There could be outfits.
Riley: Ooh. Be still my heart.

Be still my heart indeed.

acp: I think the only other substantive mention was her being proud of the end result in "OMWF", despite the personal pain she endured in its shooting. Yeah, I liked her choice of "The Body" also.
First of all, please excuse the fact that I'm not using italics... I'm an an old techno-phobe and I've no idea how to do them.

I do understand your irritation. I'm a fan and I'm interesting to hear what she has to say. I'm looking forward to the film, but even I am getting a bit sick of the whole promotion thing. Same old questions, same old answers. As to the whole thing about promoting Buffy, I'm keeping out of it. I'm happy with what I see in the 144 episodes and I'm not really bothered about any of the other stuff she should have done or didn't do. My own opinion is that she is under no obligation to do anything other than do the acting, if that's what she chooses.

Once again, I see where you're coming from. However, I think you would admit that Gellar does come in for her fair share of criticism from time to time. Some of it is probably justified, some probably not. I guess that for those of us who feel she gets a bit of a rough ride, we can be guilty of losing our sense of humour when it comes to some of the lighthearted joshing and sarcastic humour directed her way.

Mind you, I still think we should give her a bit more slack sometimes.
