RavenU: I remember looking into the question of whether air travel is safe when my wife was in the mid- to late-stages of pregnancy. The upshot is, there's no real medical consensus. Pregnant women are certainly advised to take the usual precautions, and some airlines require a doctor's certificate in the last month (mostly because they think a woman might give birth on the plane), but in general, unless the woman is at risk of pre-term labor, there's no problem. So if Amy wants to fly, it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeh, Angela, now all I need is babysitting and a cool Hollywood outfit. Any volunteers (for either the sitting or the outfit)?

Ed - you forgot Marsters (but I'm sure Rouge hasn't), I think he would show if he's in town as well and we know Danny Strong is stomping for Kerry and might jump at this chance to be there. Why don't you take your parents with you - it's only a few hours and it would give them a chance to see .... well that I don't know but it might be an interesting perspectative for them to view. Just a thought.

I'm a little perplexed about whether or not SMG is a Republican or not. I had heard she was a Democrat until these recent mentions of her. I had heard Freddie was a Republican and she was a Democrat and I was thinking I wouldn't want to live in that house but maybe she converted for the sake of her marriage.

I bet it is Alyson and Eliza because we had heard that both of them have been active this election.

My guess for actresses is Aly and Eliza, cos both have been active in support of Kerry already, and Herc did seem to hint that it would be like the "really big" stars - which I read as being the most (commercially) popular.

I'm trying ever so hard not to bite on the SMG political affiliation suggestion . . . still trying . . . suffice it to say, I've seen no evidence that she's anything other than apolitical and uninvolved. blwessels: given the personalities involved, I seriously doubt that she would convert for the sake of the marriage. But certainly, she won't be doing Kerry fundraisers because (a) she's booked solid with Grudge promos; and (b) it means large groups of strangers and she's repeatedly said she's not down with that; and (c) see no political affiliation comment above.

I got a nice e-mail back from Marsia (High Stakes Hollywood co-host). The bringing the kids question is now moot, however, since I have successfully lined up a babysitter for Sunday. YAY!

I shall be attending and I shall be taking my laptop, so you folks should expect some form of synchronous or simultaneous reportage from Hollywood. And if I (we) are really in luck, it'll be from the horse's mouth. And what a stable awaits . . . If it comes to pass, my keyboard may never recover. Fingers crossed.

Oh and teenes: good idea. I think my wife (ex-journalist that she is) has a voice-recorder. I'll try to remember that too.

I RSVP-d Marsia on Friday and got confirmation from her that I was on the list. Unfortunately, since I was using my work e-mail, she has doubtless sent the location confirmation to that e-mail, which I can't check from home. I've e-mailed her again from my home e-mail address (noted on my profile), but received no response yet.

Well we RSVP-ed and we faxed the form Marsia sent us to show we made our contribution so we can head straight to the 'already paid' line tomorrow apparently. Yay! I usually hate waiting and tomorrow I'll probably hate it more! Eep! Damn, I'm just not going to come across as 'cool' enough....

I RSVP'd to the email sent out by the Whedon camp, but I didn't sign up for anything through Highstakes, and now I think maybe I was supposed to do both? I dunno.

I wish I knew the answer, marmoset, but it seems from all I've seen that the High Stakes folks seem to be getting to the emails as quickly as possible. They're probably under siege with questions since the event is less than 24 hours away, and it seems to be a small group organizing it so maybe just a little bit of patience is in order and you'll get your answer soon.

On the John Kerry website it says if you contribute the min $35, they will email the call-in number to you so you can listen in to Joss. If anyone has any info, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

TheSlayer246, where did you get that info? J's IMDB bio page lists him as Jaime (like eddy said), and I see no reason to doubt its accuracy.

It appears that his friends do call him 'Julie' (after the cruise director on Love Boat, of all things), as he reveals in this BBC interview. But it's rather unlikely that he considers that his legal name.
