Angel soundtrack available at FoxMusic.com. American fans can purchase and download the 10 track digital EP for $9.99. It includes 'Hero' and 'L.A. Song'. The store also has Buffy, Wonderfalls and Tru Calling music/ring tones for sale as well. And there is a mention of a future Firefly soundtrack release.

The songs will be available on CD soon but it will not be for sale in the United States.

Is anyone else having trouble using their little Navio applet thing? I keep getting messages when I try to purchase Fox Dollars telling me that the currency files are invalid. Was wondering if it was just me before I went to support about it.

I'm not particularly fond of their rendition of the Angel ring tone. I certainly didn't use Noella Choi's version to make my own for my phone, though, so I can't complain. ;-)

Only 10 tracks, I thought there was about 20.
There must be tracks missing, theres no Andy Hallet song for starters. I think this is only a preview, the numbers at the end would appear to be track numbers.

As far as I can see, they've only released 10 songs (which can be bought as a package or individually). I'm wondering if it's a similar situation to the Buffy Sunnydale CD, where the Americans got far less tracks than we did in the UK.

My favourite Angel theme is the one from the pilot that they use occasionally when Angel is fighting. It's not the theme tune. It's what I call the "Hero" music, but it's not the same as the music from the episode "Hero". Does anyone know the piece I'm on about.

It played in the pilot quite a lot, most notably in the first fight scene in the Alley pre-titles. Played in season 5 opening episode in the Alley when he swings down, and it played in the episode with Charisma in season 5 when Angel defeats Lyndsay.

Could anyone tell me is that on the CD? And if so which track.

Speaking of that... I never got the Radio Sunnydale CD, in part because i could never decide if i should spend the extra $ and order the imported UK version with more tracks (but missing the Sarah McLachlan one) or if i was fine with the US version. This just reminded me i still need to get it.
Does anyone who has one or the other (or both) have an opinion? Are there enough good extra tracks on the UK version to make it worth the extra money? Even without Sarah?

I have both, and I'd say the UK is better if only for the tracks by Alison Krauss and Laika. But since I love Prayer of Saint Francis (Sarah M.), I took my favorite songs from each version and put them on one CD instead.

I liked the Angel ringtone, but the Buffy one didn't do much for me. I have Verizon Wireless, though, so I can't get them (and haven't found good ones on what Verizon offers).

I have VW also and also haven't been able to find any good buffy or angel ringtones for my phone that doesn't sound too beepy, or the tempo is wrong, or a million other issues.

Why is Verizon such a pain about it, since it seems all the other "major" US cell phone companies let you download -- Sprint, AT&T, T-mobil, Cingular!

After some resisitance, I bought the UK Radio Sunnydale after buying the US version. I'm not someone that often buys CDs, and the overlap of many songs was contributing to that resistance.

But, I ended up really being glad to have them both. It's a shame the UK version's missing Prayer of Saint Francis, but as mentioned, the other tracks fill in quite nicely. I'm planning, like Faith mentioned, to create my own mix.

The site is a mess of poorly coded javascript, so it looks like you have to use Internet Explorer, Angel_1. If you don't land directly on the AtS page, click on "more shows," then "Angel," and you should get there.

I also purchased both versions of Radio Sunnydale. I had already ordered the US version when I heard the UK version had 9 more tracks. When I saw 'Black Cat Bone' by Laika and 'Sugar Water' by Cibo Matto, I had to order it as well.

Here's the differences between the two CD's.
US has:

I ended up getting both versions, and I definitely prefer the UK version. However, I got the UK version through the used CDs on Amazon. (Mine was "used" only in the sense that the jewel case had been cracked.) Price much reduced.

I have Verizon and do have their Buffy ringtone on my phone. It's not perfect by any stretch, a little, well, fuzzy I guess, but it just makes me happy every time my phone rings. I listened to the Angel one they offer and it's just horrid.

I think I'll wait to order the CD through amazon.uk, and it appears I'll need to be ordering Radio Sunnydale as well now. :)

So when is the full thing due out? I thought it was going to be this year, but there's only a month and a half left, and no pre-order available at amazon uk. I'll probably get it on ebay myself. The version on FOX isn't the best sound quality. Plus, missing lots of tracks. I love the extended version of the theme.

If it's also the same piece of music playing when Angel crashes Lindsey's truck into the Sharp's house to rescue Cordy, Wes and Gunn in "Epiphany", I think it actually is known as 'Angel's Hero theme', The Host. I could be wrong, but I've seen it discussed elsewhere, and if I'm not mistaken that's how Rob Kral described it (can't remember if this was first- or second-hand, though).

It's always signified Angel's most white-knighterly moments to me, and like you I sure hope it's on one or the other release -- whether I can actually lay hands on it just yet or not.
