"Lost" DVDs on the way. If there was ever really any doubt.

Lost is a good show, but I son't think I'll buy the season. Mabey I'll rent them.
Oh, I'm first in line to buy them then.
I'll be second then, but only if you beat me to it!
I hope Fury does a commentary, I was dissapointed that Greenberg didn't do a commentary for his Smallville Season 3 eps even though he did them for seasons 6 and 7 of Buffy, so I probably shouldn't look forward to Steven Deknight doing one for his "The Flash" episode.
To go slightly OT does anyone if any station in Britain has picked up "Lost"
Incidentally, there was a great NYTimes article about JJ Abrams and the success of loss in yesterday's paper, and the episode that they led in with, that the reporter claimed showed the greatness of the season, was "Walkabout," by David Fury (the article was by Laura Miller who, if I remember correctly, often wrote about Buffy for the NYTimes as well, and counted herself a big fan, so I'm sure she knew who Fury is). If you're interested the article is here. (Reg. required)

As for Lost, I'll probably rent the discs through Netflix to see any eps I've missed, but I doubt I'll buy them. I was the same way with Alias. I loved renting the seasons, but I just don't like rewatching episodes enough to own them. JJ Abrams is a great storyteller, in my opinion, but some of the depth and layers that i find in Joss's work just isn't there. Once i know the plot, the writing isn't quite good enough to make me want to go back and see them over and over. Maybe i'll feel differently as I go on - i do love the show - but i don't think it'll be must-own DVD for me.
garda39 E4 will be showing it in January. And then at some point it will be aired on Channel 4.
I wonder if the Brits will take to it as much as the Americans have? As a UK resident I prefer American shows anyway (quality ones though) and I'm hooked. We haven't had a 'big' US show here in quite a while
Well I'm a Brit and I love it. Though Alias is one of my favourite shows and that never really made it big with the fans over here (much to my annoyance and that of my parents who don't have Sky and so now borrow the dvd's off me) Lost is a great show, but I'm still not sure what's made it such a big hit compared to other top quality genre shows. I hope it's a combination of the good writing and people finally being sick to death of reality crap.
