November 25 2004

Joss Whedon commentary for five Astonishing X-Men scenes. Also, TV Guide picks the Astonishing X-Men Vol. 1 TPB as a top holiday gift. Marvel, to say the least, are thrilled. Especially as Wizard Magazine have announced that the comic book is their "2004 Book of the Year".

So some holiday cheer for Joss there.

And has anyone got Wizard #159 yet? I'm going to get tomorrow to read the Joss interview about his X-Men second plot arc.

Joss makes me sick - can't he screw up just once? Now he gets this?! Seriously though, this means this is another 'verse I am going to have to explore to keep up with the man. And isn't he writing something based on totallly new characters and scenarios so that will be another 'verse?

When will this man stop?

Of course the answer to that is never, I hope!

I bought this issue yesterday. Pretty cool, but there's not much in there about the second arc, Simon. The only mention is when they talk about the last scene of book 6 with Emma talking to whoever it was that Emma was talking to.
