Harmony (well, Mercedes, anyway) on a unicorn! Promotional photo from the otherwise unremarkable TV movie Escape from Atlantis (1998).

This is just too cute for words. And wouldn't it be funny if this shot was actually the writers' inspiration for Harm's fascination with all things unicorny?

Great shot - and I really like the unicorn (big horse fan here). If this wasn't on purpose as a nod to the Harmony character then it is just an amazingly funny coincidence that out of all the roles Mercedes could have landed she landed a role where she was going to ride a unicorn!

Terrible movie. Bad enough that they show it on the Sci Fi Channel constantly. What IS remarkable about it is her in a bikini. Just about choked on my tongue.

Wow, she looks really beautiful! I'm surprised because I've never thought of Mercedes as being pretty. Too big-faced. But she looks great here. And at least this production found someone that could do her hair.

The little girl in me loves that gorgeous unicorn.

A college girlfriend had a unicorn in her dorm...whenever a dormmate of hers would go out on a date, she'd throw the unicorn at the returning young lady to see if she could catch it...

I happen to like the movie. It gave me an appreciation of Mercedes that BtVS had -- up to that point -- failed to.

Wouldn't Harmony's love of Unicorns be a nod to this movie since unless I got the timescales wrong or forgot something didn't we only learnt of her love of unicorns after that movie was made

A little foreshaddowing perhaps? If this was made in 98 than many buffy writer got inspired from this since vamp!harm doesn't come until...season 4 (yr 2000?)

The horizontal strap directly below the horn is part of the horse's bridle (assuming that's the thing you are talking about), although when I first saw it I had the same thought as you. :)

That horizontal strap is that's part of the bridle is called the brow band. Just call me horse lady.
