Four new clips from Marti Noxon's "Point Pleasant". In another article more residents of the town comment on the series.

In one of the promo pictures the guy and girl resemble Buffy and Angel

The show was created by Marti Noxon of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel fame (he served as producer, key writer, etc.).

Poor Marti. Finally moving on to creating your own show and nobody can get your gender right.
"I think it's going to be stupid."

Heh. Let's ask the local 16 year old for an opinion.
The clips look promising; think I might give this series a try. Though the 'Buffy-ness' of the lettertype in the promo's somehow annoys me. And yes Janeway216, I noticed that too; little sad isn't it?

Looks quite good and I just had one of those "Eureka" moments (and no, I didn't say it out loud either!) - I just worked out that the curly logo is the sign of the beast - 666! Sometimes it just takes me a while to get it, all right?!

Mind you, I guess this won't get here (Australia) until February/March 2006 since our basic programmes are now lined up for the next viewing year, I think.
cant see the clips, just hear (guess i need a codec).

I thought it was supposed to be 69 at first. :)

Def seems like the residents of the real Point Pleasent are over reacting some what, the official fox forum seems to have half the town posting about how angry they are, or inaccuracies such as no light house in the real PP. Is this the normal reaction to a show being set in a small town unused to the attention? In Britain we just make up towns, Walford, Weatherfield, Holby City, Denton, Witby New town, etc, guess this stops annoying people.
I'm intrigued by this show - the 16 year old's comment aside, heh - but I'm a little worried by Watch with Kristin's take on the pilot. Seems she didn't like it. It's being reworked, evidently because others have had issues with it? Not to say that Kristin is any real judge; I don't know her evaluatory powers and I only read her column when it's linked from Whedonesque. As for the townsfolk getting all worked up, hmmmm......deems an overreaction to me but then I've never been from a small town that suddenly got lots of media exposure.
Although Kristin showed good judgment in loving Buffy and Angel, since then she seems to fall in love with any show that's popular. I don't know if she gets kickbacks or not, but she just isn't very discriminating, in my opinion.
Hey Caroline, I'm around that age and I think the show looks very good/promising...although I do kind of understand what you mean. I mean when shows like "The O.C.: and "NorthShore" dominate the ratings on Fox it kind of makes you think.I mean I'm pretty sure your average teenager is rolling their eyes at this show and switching the channel over 2 the Wb's "fine" primetime programming. I really hope this show is good, but I know that if it is then it's going to be cancelled. This show has "Tru Calling" "Firefly" "Wonderfalls" written all over it. I can't trust that Fox will give this show a chance to prove itself, except for the pilot episode and possibly 2 more after that. And the thing that really sucks is that there won't be a damn thing any of us can do if the show is(probably will) cancelled. But then again if it's horrible that might soften the blow a little...but it's Marti we're talking about here. Why do all of these great ex-Buffy/Angel writers bother with working with FOX? UPN or the WB will give the shows more of a chance.

thankfullly the show is airing only a week behind in Britain (E4 9pm wed 26th of January), so I know that at least the 13 produced episodes can be seen by those who watch tv online without any real dellay.

Marti is still under contract with 20th from her Buffy days. WB isnt interested in buying outsider produced material anymore (likely the root cause of their current problems), and most 20th produced shows will be sold to Fox

Ooh I didn't know that, thanks Ocipital. I was definately gonna watch this but now I know I'll get to see all 13 eps I'll be less worried that it'll get shot down half way through (though obviously if it's really good it will still hurt)
Hmm, I just read the article for the first time and it now says:

So they must've realized they made a mistake and fixed it! I wonder if they lurk here or if they had a bunch of angry Marti Noxon fans e-mail them.
