Marvel Comics Solicitations for April 2005. Solicitation info for Astonishing X-Men #10

Written by Joss Whedon, pencils and cover by John Cassaday.
"Dangerous."A familiar face returns to the pages of Astonishing X-Men just as things take a turn for the worse. But will the helping hand be in time? Part 4 of 6.
32 pages, $2.99, in stores on April 20.

I think the familar face is but I have a theory .

Any road after #12? Joss for DC All Stars Wonder Woman?
Thats a good guess I haven't really considered. I can't wait to see where this arc goes.
Having seen what is thought to be the cover for that issue i would say you had guessed right there Simon. ;)

Wouldn't have minded seeing what Joss would have done with the Avengers after Disassembled but i think it's fair to say that Bendis has control over that corner of the Marvel Universe.

If Joss doesn't stay on AX-M after issue 12 i would kinda like to see how he wrote a Spidey book. Could be interesting.
I still say that person on the cover is former New X-Men writer (and all round genius) Grant Morrison. And I for one would like to see him guest.

Anyway, Joss' success with Astonishing X-Men is an stunning riposte to those who say he doesn't want to or can't work with other people's creations.
Very much so, he clearly has an excellent grasp on the X-Men both as a group and as individual characters. It's been a very long time since i've enjoyed the X-Men so much and this is coming from an X-Men completist who hasn't missed a single X-book in 15 years. He just seemed to click with book, fantastic stuff!

Grant Morrison huh? Maybe returning to the X-books in order to try kill off Magneto and Jean a second time despite the fact he should know that neither of them will ever be allowed to be dead for more than a 6 week period? That guy just never gives up does he! :)
