January 26 2005

James Marsters attends the Tabula Rasa event in July in Australia. This will be a return to the convention in Melbourne for him. The convention is going to be July 2-3, 2005; tickets are on sale January 28th.

They are also planning an acoustical performance for James's new album. This one night only performance, in conjunction with the release of his new album in April, will be his only Australian performance for 2005.

The convention is the same weekend as the Slayercon 2005 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Australia with Amy Acker, Julie Benz, Clare Kramer, Iyari Limon, Mark Lutz, Camden Toy, and other demons.

Wow, thankyou so much RavenU, I am so there! How ex-friggin-citing! This is sooo cool!
Randy Giles goes down under!

/Didn't that come out sad and wrong...!
LMAO, he can if he wants! I better not say any more...
Buffbuff, what are you talking about? ;)
I get her point...so to speak, twiggy...!
Is "acoustical" even a word?

Anyway, I'm still going to Slayercon. It has very pretty, talented ladies.
Seriously, where are the Canadian conventions? i know nobody cares about our frozen country, but seriously geez...nobody ever comes here! WE WANT JM!
Gah! Conflict of interest!

*Head explodes*
I am so sick of 18+ events, first Bright Eyes and now this.
Where are the Pacific NW conventions? I'm still waiting...
It looks like there might be a convention in Melbourne with James and some others around the same time, judging by the contents of an email I recieved from Tabula Rasa Events:

TA DA - HE'S BACK!

You demanded it, and we listened. James Marsters will be coming back to Melbourne to be apart of another fun-filled convention weekend in Melbourne.

Whilst the convention is going ahead on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July 2005; tickets are not quite ready to go on sale just yet - they will be available in the coming weeks.

So consider this your heads up and so get yourselves a group together, organise what you need to, so when the convention goes on sale with Ticketek, you'll be ready to book right away without any mad panic. This year tickets will only be available through Ticketek phone orders, online bookings and in person at their agencies - and not through directly Tabula Rasa Events - so you'll need to have all your seating requests decided on before you go and purchase your tickets, as all seats will be allocated at the time of sale.

More details on the convention will be announced in the coming weeks, including who from the casts of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and from Angel will be joining James in what is shaping up to be the best convention Melbourne has seen.

BUT WHAT CAN I DO NOW? YOU ASK?

In addition to the convention, James will be performing an extra special concert on the Saturday night [2 July] - an acoustic version of his highly anticipated solo album which is due for release in April.

This showcase of James' musical talents will be on sale from THIS FRIDAY 28 JANUARY!!!!!!

All the details can be found at www.tabularasa.com.au including location, prices and how to purchase tickets.

Tickets to this one night only Australian performance are strictly limited so be quick before they're all snapped up.

[Please note: the concert is restricted to persons 18+; the two day convention will be open to persons of all ages].

Chris, your comment was neither sad, nor wrong. As a matter of fact, it was very happy making.

Oh, give me
a kiss to build a dream on
and my imagination
will ride upon that kiss...

See buffbuff, that just kills me.
Here I am only a 1000 kms away from James, and I still can't get to him!!!!
It looks like there might be a convention in Melbourne with James and some others around the same time, judging by the contents of an email I recieved from Tabula Rasa Events:
So this convention that might happen in Melbourne hosted by Tabula Rasa with James Marsters in attendance isn't the convention this thread is about? Y'know, the one in Melbourne hosted by Tabula Rasa with James Marsters in attendance?
The First Weevil, When I posted that comment this thread was about the acoustic performance only.

PS, I got my tickets today! Anyone else coming?
