Like i mentioned in the previous thread, i'm conflicted between two possibilies. One, that they are devious and untrustworthy enough to be telling us yet another load of bull here, and two, that they are dumb enough to actually really have no idea about the fact we would be happy with a Spike project. Either option seems reasonable given their past actions.

So, The WB, devious or dumb? You decide! ;)

Janollari isn't stupid. He's just a lousy liar. The WB is done with Joss and Fox TV (for now). The WB doesn't want to deal with them anymore. The WB doesn't think there's profit in negotiating for an Angelverse movie. (OK, I guess that supports the "stupid" theory.) We're going to have to wait for the big screen BtVS/AtS motion picture; after that dominates the box office for weeks on end, then suddenly the WB might remember how they've always loved Joss and his universe...

I tend to agree with cjl. I'd love to believe there was interest, but I just don't.

They are afraid that they will alienate Joss fans who still manage to find something to watch on their network, so we get these ridiculous replies.

I do have to agree partially with you tgilders but yet my anger at The WB still keeps on coming, and also for Jandollari for either lying through his teeth or just being totally clueless about the situation. I wish just once and for all, The WB would come out and tell us whether they plan on continuing the Buffyverse or not!

Going slightly off topic for a moment - hey Apocalypse, in a previous post you wrote Yes. I am coming.

Made me laugh nearly as much as Herc, and as you know, laugher is the best way to a woman’s heart.

Well I am sitting here all dressed up and with my hair nice, yet you do not write, you do not call, not even a little bit of fire raining from the heavens.

What happened? Forgot a prior engagement to destroy another world?

That’s these end-of-days types for you. Promise you fire and brimstone and a plague of frogs, and then pfft nothing.

I am now sulking. If you do decide to turn up after all, there better be music and dancing and witty banter while the earth around us is being laid to waste. Note: please start with the WB and all is forgiven! (Looks like you are in the market for that.)

That never fails to amuse me, either from guys like this or politicians. Thinking this is a solution while all it does is giving us the option of deciding whether they're lying through their teeth or are simply just utterly incompetent.

Why would he? Even news that circulates for weeks like Joss and James talking about Spike movies doesn't reach him apparently;-)

Joss and James may be talking, but they may not be talking to the WB. Do they HAVE to give WB first offer? I mean are they still contractually obligated to the WB on any stories told in the Buffyverse? I hope not.

If we see a Spikecentric story, I doubt the thing will end up on the WB network. I don't know where they can sell it. They may not know either, which is why it's all talk right now.
