Buffy and Angel crossover ecomic - "City of Despair". Somewhat similar to the Angel episode "The Ring" but it passes the time nicely.

Well, it was a little predictable, but not bad
Was just reading this and thinking of coming here to post it. As usual Simon was already on the case :)

EDIT: Meant to say, the story is fun enough but some of the art is pretty terrible. Who the hell is that meant to be in the top right of page 4? (rhetorical question in case that wasn't apparent)

Lol. You could barely tell Anya was Anya. She looked almost asian. Also what's up with Supermodel Joyce?
Yea, not loving it heaps.
Okay, when I saw the link, I thought of the movie "The Ring" instead of the AtS episode. I was like, "Buffy & Angel track down and destroy a cursed video tape? WTF?" But after reading it, I think my first idea was better....
Wren. That was my first thought too! So you are not alone. Lol.
Lol, me too! And the Anya and Joyce drawings were the greatest.
My fellow Whedonesque posters don't automatically think of an Angel episode when they see "The Ring" mentioned. I'm shocked :p. I've amended my subject line to avoid any further confusion.
Personally, I always thought Joyce WAS a former supermodel. (But enough about my fanstasy life....)

Buffy and Angel escape through the power of lurve? Please.

I like how the Sunnydale and L.A. contingents kept in constant phone contact. A Giles/Wes phone summit should have been a regular part of the TV shows.

Espenson's "Super!Jonathan" two-parter is still the cream of the e-comic crop.
Where does the spanking line start?

ETA: for thinking movie and not episode.

Eeek, ya better line me up on that one too I'm afraid!
I was mistaken also at first.
Pretty bad. Unabashedly recycled storyline ... art rendering almost everyone unrecognizable (couldn't they have at least gotten Joyce's HAIR color right?) ... unrealistic character actions (because Wesley and Giles are so eager to chat) ... and the kind of ending that would be best suited to an afterschool special. I read these things because I'm desperate for my fix, but at this point, my Buffy heroin has been cut with so many unpleasant substances the China White is starting to look like old sawdust.
buffy's eyes are the wrong color. Also in TGIQ Angel said he was looking for a girl with blue eyes.. and what purpose did riley serve in that story?
