Scene stealer : Salon interviews Chiwetel Ejiofor, and he briefly mentions Serenity.

Salon registration or day-pass required. If you don't want bother, the here's the whole mention: "Before 'Serenity' I never really saw myself in sci-fi. But then I read Joss Whedon's script and I thought it was absolutely brilliant. It's a character I was just itching to try."

Garr. Thanks Chiwetel for ratcheting up my anticipation one painful notch higher. Always good to here high opinions of the script, though.

OT, but does anyone else think the interviewer was kind of incompetent? The follow-up to the "are you single" question was almost defensive, and the persistant efforts to generate some sort of racial controversy quickly went from heavy-handed to obtuse.
Wasn't this posted here before? I seem to remember reading that quote here.
No, though he's complimented Whedon in many of his recent interviews so that may be what you're remembering.
It's all taken from the same press tour for the Woody Allen movie. You'll have seen the quote mentioned in other articles.
Ah, of course. Thanks, Simon.
And seeing as it says nothing new, it may go shortly.
This guy's going to be one of the top actors of his time. He's beyond wonderful in Woody Allen's current "Melinda and Melinda" and even though he's the bad guy in Serenity, he's still just as charming (or more) than the rest of the cast. I hope this guy never stops working.
