Details of The Grudge R1 "Unrated Extended Director's Cut" DVD release. Via SMGFAN.

This time the commentary track is with the director Takashi Shimizu, producer Takashige Ichise and actress Takako Fuji.

If you are looking for the exact differences between the versions, details are also on that website.

Just amplified the tag-line a little, garda39.

*kicking self for succumbing and impulsively buying Grudge DVD while killing time downtown, 'cause now I wanna see Sarah and KaDee's video diaries*
That link doesn't work for me.
Is this site set in England?
I presume you were asking about it being a R2 release Charisma so I edited the tag line to clear up any confusion

And so far no release has been announced for R2
YAYAYA!!! I am so happy to hear this. Even tho there are still an awful lot of scenes missing from the original Ju-on ( that whole police inspectors daughter bit). The scene showing the familys death sounds awfully gruesome, can't wait! Anymore of Ayako doing that creepy crackly head thing and her crawl is good for me. And now I understand that whole stare from Toshio. Excellent news.

I'm glad they left out the part with the police inspector's daughter--by that point, Ju-On was starting to feel pretty tedious and repetitive. Not to mention that it's just too freaking depressing. I mean...the guy's *daughter*? That cute little girl from the beginning? What a downer.
I'm talking about this site. Because it is always a day ahead.
I think the admins are from UK, charisma so that may be yes.
The site is hosted in the Netherlands. The time zone is CET or Central European Time.

We admins and mods can be found all over the globe :)
So glad I waited out for this. So is the SMG commentary not on this one?

Yea true, but I did love the way all the faces went into their little alter for the dearly departed. I just hated all 3 of her friends chasing after her, that was a little silly.
I'm not sorry I got the theatrical release DVD. I like both the version and the extras. I'll probably get this one, too. I'm wondering what the director commentary will be like, though, since he reportedly doesn't speak much English.

BlindHawkeyes, maybe if you wait another couple of months, they'll come out with a deluxe edition with both versions and all the extras :)
