An overview of Joss' commentary for 'Objects in Space'. To somehow mark that today was the original release date for 'Serenity', here's a look at what many consider to be Joss Whedon's best ever DVD commentary.

Slayage.tv has a lot more episode commentary overviews. So go and have a look.

Links I thought about using to mark this day.

The first time we officially heard Joss was planning to turn Firefly into a movie: We'd heard rumours but Gail Berman confirmed it back in May 2003.

Firefly DVD trailer: Actually not that great a trailer. Doesn't really capture the feel of the show.

Step Onboard 'Firefly': A G4 behind the scenes video clip from November 2002. Worth watching.

Naked Mal: That was the wife's idea.

Hey simon, at the end of the weekend we'll know how much "The Interpeter" made, and that movie was given Serenity's slot. Is it ok to post how much it makes? Cause if it flops, it'd be interesting to see how much Serenity might have made in that place. Compare and contrast the 2.
Simon, you have a brilliant wife!! Thanks for the new wallpaper!
Go Simons wife!
That man has got a mighty fine body.
Oh, more praises for Simon's wife (and the other links are great too)!! My collection needed a boost. Salty goodness.

Well, that settles it. I had zero plans to watch anything tonight but now I'll pop in OIS. It's been awhile.
The first link is very nice, but...
"Malcomb Reynolds (Nathan Fission)"??
ok, so I watched it again last night and forgot how much I forgot. What really jumped out at me this time was his comic-book-inspired-like angles and points of view. He weaves those little visual gems all throughout the episode. I only read his comics recently so that's probably why I never picked up on it as much in the past. And I totally forgot how evil Early was and how disturbing he can be. Yay, River!
Why thank you. (I would be Simon's wife :))

Might as well just post in here eddy, the two films are appealing to such different audiences.
The Interpreter debuted at No. 1 with $22.8 mil, per this Yahoo news report.

The story also reports on the slump the movie industry is experiencing.
