New artists for future covers of Serenity comic book. Dark Horse Comics has announced that Joe Quesada, Josh Middleton and Jo Chen will be doing covers. And there's a quote from co-writer Brett Matthews about working with Joss and what Serenity means to him.

Oh and if anyone knows why Dark Horse are reprinting their Buffyverse comics on the quiet, I wouldn't mind knowing.

Simon, I believe they're reprinting them simply because they sold very well (at least specific ones did. It looks like they're not re-releasing them in order). I missed an issue once or twice at my store and they often weren't able to order more, so I had to hunt around in the city at other shops.

At least there's new stuff for those who've already seen the film. New story in the comics, if they read well enough to be considered in-continuity (I'm sure Joss considers them so if he co-wrote the thing or did the outline or whatever). The plot description's still very vague, but I'm glad they kept it that way.
Cheers Kris, I saw a Willow/Tara comic in the new releases in my local comic book shop last week and I noticed the following comic was out this week via Comicon Pulse:

JUL040271 BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER ANGEL #1 (Of 3) (O/A) $2.95

Heh. Took me a moment to figure out why Emily the Strange, who I do adore, was sitting there next to Jayne.
Simon, I was looking at the Buffy comics thru the link you posted yesterday. Some said "Buy" and others said "Buy Now" and I'm guessing they only had "Buy Now" next to the issues in stock. I'm thinking about the TPBs now. I've heard a lot of praise for Christopher Golden, and I enjoyed The Lost Slayer, which I read last weekend.
My local comic book shop owner has me down for Angel, Spike, and Serenity issues already. I don't think I've ever enjoyed comic artwork more than those on the Serenity covers. I hope the other pages reflect quality that high.
