The Inside Premiere Press Release. From The Futon Critic.

Adam Baldwin, Katie Finneran, Peter Coyote, and Jay Harrington... in a show by Tim Minear. I am on tenterhooks waiting for June 8th! I need another show to fall in love with, and I suspect this will be it.
My pessimism notwithstanding (from another related thread), I gotta say this looks awfully damned good. As much, or more, about the people who investigate rather then those who are investigated. Leave it to Tim to come up with the twist.
I just pray they avoid the soap-opera-melodrama trap that procedurals seem inevitably to fall into, with lead characters sleeping together and screwing up on the job, to add some "human interest" to the show I guess. It's what killed my enjoyment of CSI and Without a Trace.

Oh no, it's nothing like Angel.

Ha, Allyson! I said "procedurals" not "Joss Whedon shows"!
Seriously, Angel and Buffy had plenty of episodes that fell into the procedural category, all the Monster of the Week ones, really. Problem, problem gets worse, twist, solution.

There's a dead body with weird bite marks, everyone goes to the library to investigate, more dead bodies, it could be the apocalypse, oh no! it's really just old man smithers, the creepy janitor no one paid any attention to! And he would have got away with it too if it wasn't for that nosy Slayer and her pals.

And in the B plot, Willow has a crush on Angel and that leads to a wacky misunderstanding.

Think of Fear, Itself or DoubleMeat Palace. Very procedural in nature.

The Inside has an inner life that I think makes it different, but I realize I'm terribly biased.
You have every right to be biased, Allyson! This truely sounds like a great show. Could Adam Baldwin's character description be more perfect for him?
And he's really, really funny.
I love Adam and Tim, can't wait for this show!
Written, Directed and Executive-Produced by Tim Minear ("Wonderfalls," "Angel")

AND FIREFLY! Grr Argh!
Hun? Just waking. And I'm still confused. Hun?
Madhatter, what are you confused about?
You beat me to it, MySerenity. A little show called Firefly? Made into a (fairly) big budget Hollywood movie? Hullo?

And I'm even wearing my Grrr Arrgh! tee.

Maybe Tim took Firefly off his bio blurb?

Also runs from thread.
I love it when everyone talks about me. . .
