CBS announces Prime Time Schedule - Christian Kane Series Renamed. CBS has announced the picking up of the Christian Kane series "Close to Home," until recently known as "American Crime."

Which is a shame really, as the tagline "Do the Time on American Crime" was a doozy. Actually I made that up but hey it might be true.
They also officially picked up "The Unit" co-starring Amy Acker...and Alyson Hannigan's sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" is in there as well. Though I guess those were already pre-announced, unlike this name change. Congrats to all the Whedonverse alums with new series!
I'm also cautiously excited for The Unit, provided it survives the ramp-up as a mid-season show. I like David Mamet's work a lot, though I'm curious how he'll cope with the censors. (The NYTimes once quipped that their review of his new play had excerpted all the dialogue fit for publication in their newspaper.) Also, I hope that either A) Amy doesn't look so anorexic anymore or B) her character gimmicks don't include over-eating this time out.

Well you can now have "There's nowhere to roam, when your so 'Close to Home'."
I definately agree that the biggest cliffhanger in the Buffyverse was Angel being dumped in the Ocean. You've got to remember, it even took a few episodes of the new season to actually resolve that one. It was great!

On a side note, the Star Trek TNG 'hanger should have been higher. Riker's final words of that season---"fire!" still put chills down my spine everytime I see it.
Um, think you posted to the wrong thread, The Joker.
