Happy Birthday to Danny Strong! Our resident Superstar turns 31 today.

He was always so funny, especially in his early appearances throughout Season Two. I remember a few years ago when I first heard about the unaired pilot episode and managed to download a copy (shhh...), how very pleasantly surprised I was to see Danny Strong in it! He's the kid in the lineup outside The Bronze, as beloved STP plays, who asks Buffy if she's the new girl.
Amazing to see him being used again (and again and again) throughout the series' run after such a small role in a presentation that never aired. I understand that these sorts of things aren't meant to be aired anyway, I think they're strictly for the execs, but still, that was a nice surprise.
All the best to him now and in the future.

(ETA: ever so subtle grammar correction)

Jonathan Lives! Happy Birthday, Danny!

And where can one see that *whispers* unaired pilot? Is that the one with the original Willow?
As to the "where", I don't know now. As to your other question, batmarlowe, yep, that's the one. The actress was Riff Regan. I definitely feel that Aly was the better choice, though I admit that I'm totally biased since I saw the presentation years after getting into the show and very comfortable with the actors. It was disconcerting to see someone else be addressed as Willow and speak her lines, but again, *biased*.

(ETA: misspelled the actress' name, how dumb!)

A super rawkin', fantabulously awesome birthday to Danny!
Milan Kundera once said, "There are no small parts. Only small actors." But what the hell does he know?

Not that I believe any Whedon alumni lurk here... Well, I might believe that, but only in the same way I might believe in aliens, witchcraft, or Andy Kaufman faking his own death. However, just in case, happy birthday Danny Strong, and thank you for making an appearingly small role so tremendously big.
