Astonishing X-Men #11 preview. Six pages (and the cover too) of artwork and dialogue by John Cassaday and Joss Whedon. This would look amazing in the cinema.

It's been pushed back and back, but this issue should be out July 20th.

Ooh very shiny. Just hope they stick to this date now.
can't wait :)
The more I read this book, The more I ADORE it! John Cassaday and Joss are a dream team and a half! :D
Holy .... Wow, the art, action and dialogue looks great.
"in the cinema"???

THIS IS AMERICA, buddy. These colors DON'T run.

Yeah, Cassaday is so teh r0x0rs.
This looks sooo good. Was a little unexcited by the last issue, but now I can't wait again for this one. While I love the Joss-verse, its also fun to see Joss play with iconic characters, and see what he can do with them. Scary, ruthless Professor X is damn impressive.

On a related note, I went to a signing that the amazing Cassaday did in Sydney last month, and got him to sign the page of Astonishing when Colossus passes through Kitty. He told me that that was Joss' favourite page - Joss had originally written dialogue for that page, but when he saw the art, he said it would just ruin it (which is true, it's a beautiful and heartbreaking sequence).

Gosh, last time I checked, this was the internet. I can't comment specifically on the color/run issue.

The comic looks very fine. And I love the anecdote related by sojourner.
