Am I the only one that really just LOVES this show to bits?

I tend to love it nowadays. I started with like, now love. Two hours of it next week, bliss. I suspect it's a little different to what Buffyverse people are used to (as in, baby death and pedos weren't common Buffy themes).

I'm watching it and enjoying it but it doesn't thrill me. I don't think there has been any character development to speak of and I think Adam Baldwin is being woefully underused.

But Comic Con! What I would give to be there! Is there anyone from the Buffyverse who won't be there?

I loved Firefly and Wonderfalls, but not The Inside. In fact I'm still trying to decide if I even like The Inside, which is a shame because I love Tim Minear, Jane Espenson, Adam Baldwin, Katie Finneran & Peter Coyote. In all honesty if these guys could all move on to a more interesting project I would be hell of a lot happier than I am now.

Heh - like I said, not everybody will like The Inside as it takes a bit of detour from the pure fantasy people have seen before from these folk. Personally, I quite like crime proceduals, so to have one which is character driven from this writing crew - kinda groovy.

Zoic_Fan, you said it. I would also add that I just don't find weekly gruesome disembowelments or serial rapist/murderers heady subject matter. Maybe when The Inside gets stable in the ratings, they'll move into the character plots.

But Jane's ep last week was pretty awesome. And I agree Adam Baldwin is being wasted.

Based on recent news, I wouldn't make any plans to go to Comic Con specifically to see Tim et al. Sadly, it doesn't look like they're going to be there.

Aww, too bad for folks who were happily planning on attending this amazing-sounding panel.

Um, I love crime dramas, thrillers, etc. and I don't love The Inside. Just because someone doesn't like The Inside doesn't mean they can't or don't want to look beyond fantasy stuff. Frankly, that assumption kinda annoys me. I've got very wide tastes and boy did I try to love this show. I just didn't. That said, I wish that Fox hadn't canceled it so soon. That blows. It was far better than much of what passes for TV out there and should have been given a chance to grow. I've no doubt that Tim et al had big plans for it and I'd be so happy if they had been able to go further.

The Fox executives have the patience and attention span of an ADD-ridden tot. (Or, heh, the staying power of a bepimpled adolescent boy.) I don't think such tots or bepimpled adolescents should be in charge of networks. Idiot people.
