Ack! I was just coming to post this! I'd just gotten my email. Yay, for the Melbourne Browncoats!!!!
This is so exciting for the Melbourne Browncoats!! I'm also well chuffed that the email says "first public screening" - fingers crossed for more screenings in more cities!
I just got my two tickets. Don't muck around people the cinema is already half sold out. And Woo Hoo!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm only flying back to melbourne on the 23rd! ARGH!
Ooh yay, thankyou Succatash for posting this, I didn't get the usual email from universal! My friend is ordering tickets now I hope there's still two left! Thankyou so much, I'm so excited!
Congrats to all the Melbourne Browncoats. I hope every single one of you gets to go.

Now, Sydney???

Plus England, Scotland, Canada, Europe etc etc

Pretty please UIP?
*sits as still as she can, waiting for news of UK screenings*

Oh, and yay for Melbourne :D.
Whhhyyyyy Melbourne and not Sydney????

And yes, I am happy for you Melbournites :)
There was already a screening in Sydney a few months back and I think it is because a group of Melbourne Firefly fans got in contact with UIP and helped organise this screening.
Whoo Hoo for the Melbourne Browncoats!!
And let's hear the votes for Perth too ........... What? What? It's just me solo again isn't it?

Damned "most isolated capital city in the world" tag!
Personally I think the Sydney fans should plan a road trip, it is totally worth it (I went to Chicago twice to see this movie and I would happily do it again!). I'm so excited they (Universal) are doing this screening, I only wish it was Sept 30th already!
Thank you, Succatash for posting this.
Congratulations to all of you Aussies who have tickets for the screening. You are going to love it! I look forward to reading your posts when you get home.
Hmm $450 round trip from NZ (thats about US$300) would be in the realms of possibility... well I can dream... at least september is getting closer! :)
Hey Zuckerbaby it's nice to see you posting!!! I think perhaps you should fly down to Melbourne and go see it ;)
Or we could wait another, 2 months....Gorram it get me to a plane!
Catalyst, I actually heard of another Perth fan over there last weekend! Maybe we should start a thread on Flikr about Aussie Whedonesquers, looks like theres a few of us!
If anyone has a spare ticket please let me know - by the time I got the news they were sold out. Just my luck that I didn't check my email yesterday. *pouts*
Goram missed out
