FC reviews Kitchen Confidential. And says it is a TV show to root for.

I understand it is a presentation pilot they are looking at, so I will wait to see the actual finished pilot.

But I still enjoyed what I saw. And definitely look forward to seeing Nicky and Cooper.

It looks like it could be fun. I love how this is the year for 'Verse cast/crew comebacks. Maybe not 'comebacks' but definitely returns to the screen. I love that I can be watching a show by Tim Minear and during the commercial breaks see back-to-back promos for a show co-starring Nick Brendon and a show starring David Boreanaz.

It makes a boy tear up in that special way.
I'm so pleased that critics are liking this pilot. He does say though:

Even more troubling is that one can't help but feel if the supporting cast wasn't played by the actors involved, they could easily be written off as one-note characters.

This is true, and it's why the show will succeed -- because it has top-caliber actors (like Nick!). I do hope the writing improves a bit, though, because on-note characters are uninteresting. I guess I didn't find the humor as forced as he did though, but perhaps things will gel more as the show progresses.
