Witchy woman fun as ever. An Alyson Hannigan interview taken from the recent TCA press tour event for 'How I Met Your Mother'. Best part? Well one particular highlight is what Nick Brendon said when he came onto the set for her new show.

Regular Whedonesque posters will note that this press event is the source of the "Spike Movie Straight to DVD" rumour.

Well, now we know Kristen had a real source for story. Though with how easily she disproved it, I would think she could have gotten the answer before she posted it. The quote also makes it sound more like something she heard though the grapevine then from actually Joss.

The Nick story is cute and it is great they are both so excited about the new shows and still keep in touch.
I so miss Aly. I hope we get this show in Australia.
I so heart Aly. I think the writer has hit it on the head on what her appeal is. I can't wait to see her new show.
Spike gave Buffy some "smooth lovin'?" Guess that depends on one's definition of smooth, but, uh, didn't the building crash down?!

Agree with NickSeng--writer has captured much of what's so appealing about Aly. A truly fine actress.
Chris - Buffy initiated that encounter, so it seems she was't looking for smooth lovin' that particular evening! ;)
Right you are, killinj, but other encounters (outside the Doublemeat, the balcony of the Bronze)...hot, quick, exciting, whatever...but "smooth"...?!

Maybe the writer was referring to Season 7 when she just slept all night in his lap...aww...that was sweet, wasn't it...
Nick and Aly are on the same lot. This deeply closeted Willow/Xander 'shipper finds that soothing. But their shows are in the same time period--which is just WRONG.

So, so true. Forced to pick between them is an act of cruelty. I cannnot choose! I must date with them both!
Thank the technology gods for TiVo and/or VCRs, otherwise I’d be back in therapy...
It's times like these that I wish I had TiVo. In the end I'll probably watch Kitchen Confidential then later on catch the reruns of How I met your Mother.
She's just delightful! I haven't seen any clips for the show so the cab scene description had me laughing out loud and I'm now looking forward to seeing it when it airs. But, I'll also most likely tune in to NBs show and tape Aly's.
If this guy thinks Spike gave Buffy "smooth lovin'" I'd hate to see what his definition of rough is.

I watched AMERICAN PIE well after everyone else had seen it (like six months ago). So I knew there was this "One time, in band camp..." running joke. But when Aly says the line about the flute I had to pause the DVD because I was laughing so hard. It took a while before I stopped. I'm just glad I wasn't drinking something at the time, because I know it would have exited through my nose.

Luckily I have TiVo so I can record one and watch the other. I hope they aren't up against something else I watch.
You don't have to have TiVo, ShotgunWes, VCRs are way cheap now - get yourself one and enjoy both shows.
For any British viewers Paramount Comedy Channel have picked up "Kitchen Confidential." to air in the new year
I loved the description of Aly's smile as being as "curvy and funtime as ever". Can't you just see that in your mind?

And, ChrisinVirginia, I quite swooned at your description of Buffy sleeping all night in Spike's lap. *sigh*

Last thing - in the US, if people watch a programme and also TiVo another channel, do both programmes register on those Neilson boxes? Will both Nick and Aly get full viewing figures for their shows (with hope for new seasons)?

cjl...not so closeted anymore.... ; )
This isn't a knock on Doug (its a fun piece, this), but his obsession with Aly is slightly creepy feeling to me.
