Incidentally, I think this was the Buffy mag we opted not to get because the cover had Dawn and Connor, two of our least favorite characters. I did flip through it though and I seem to recall VK also said he doesn't have a computer or tv, and I thought about how boring my life would be without those two things...particularly since I'm usually on the comp talking about tv!
Also, they changed the name of the mag to 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer featuring Angel'. Not crazy about that, there had to be better names. But being so early, I'm not sure I could think of any at the moment.... Maybe call it 'Bangel', seeing as it combines Buffy and Angel, but I'm sure that wouldn't go over well! ;P

It's kind of weird, I have every issue of both magazines, and then whenever it expanded to two seperate magazines was really the height of both show's fame. Then they both kept going after the ending of both shows (which is a tribute to their strength and fan interest) but now they're merging again. I think it's better, and each issue is longer and more comprehensive. But it also shows that there just isn't enough material to sustain two seperate monthly issues, which is understandable given Angel has been off air for a year and Buffy for two.

I imagine it will eventually 'peter out', so to speak. That will be a sad day.
...Unless there is some amazing revival of the 'verse that spawns a new tv show or telemovies or big screen movies....Hey! A girl can dream, right??

Any and all of the above welcome.

Bad Kitty, I always liked Connor, too. Getting irritated by him (and worse) was part of what was to be expected...after all, talk about a dysfunctional childhood!
I saw the Michelle stuff, too...I'm guessing that the Buffy episode she's most proud of is "Conversations with Dead People."

Well, the Doctor Who tv show was dead for 16 years (although there was one bad tv movie in the middle of that) and the Doctor Who magazine kept going through all that time. However, Doctor Who did have 26 seasons compared to Buffy and Angel combined 12 seasons. Still the only reason I could imagine such a magazine stopping is if there isn't enough sales to keep the magazine going.

I'm pretty much obliged to buy it because I have all the other issues. I'm eager, as long as it continues to have good interviews and features, but if they run out of material and keep publishing it and just pad it with stupid material then I would resent it, but I would still buy it.
Alias magazine is released every couple of months, I think if things on the Buffy/Angel front slow down even more then they could consider doing that.
And I think Connor is a great character. I was never annoyed by him. Sure, he did plenty of irrational things but if you consider things from his point of view then it makes sense. He was raised by Holtz, and usually children believe everything their parents say. Then he finds out that was all a lie. There's obviously going to be trouble accepting that. And then he was manipulated by Jasmine (in the guise of Cordelia), and finds out that that was a lie too, it's no wonder he has trust issues.
I thought Vincent did a fantastic job and made his character very sympathetic. I'm slowly working my way through season five as we speak so I haven't seen his return yet, but I am looking forward to it.

I loved Connor in S3, but S4 Connor got on my last nerve. Happy, well adjusted Connor of S5 I rather took to again though.
