Gina Torres interview from blackfilm.com. Discusses the movie, Joss, Ron Glass and working with her husband.

Yet another journalist calls him Josh. Maybe after the film hits they'll all get his name right.

so the article doesnt have any spoilers for Serenity? Just being paranoid :)
All the Josh's are driving me crazy! I can't read it all the way through. ;)
Not only does the journalist call Joss 'Josh', he changes Gina's words so she does too.
Joss, dammit! Joss! Joss! Joss!

Otherwise, um, interesting article.

Vera: it does have what could be considered a very minor spoiler, I think.
I actually did a copy/paste of the text into a text editor and did a global search/replace to change all the 'Josh'es to 'Joss'. That was the only way I could finish reading the interview without giving myself an aneurism.
Picturing Ron Glass walking on set and Gina saying "I love you!" is a memory to be hold. Thanks for the article, it's a cool read.
vera, the interviewer does ask Gina a question regarding the interaction in the film between Zoe and Wash but the question is sufficiently vague and her response very diplomatically sidesteps the question and plugs the movie a little more. My personal assessment is: non-spoilery.
You should be okay (btw, the question in question (hmmm...) is at the very bottom of the first page, right after the question about Ripley from "Aliens", so you're free to skip to the second page, which is utterly bereft of anything even remotely spoiler-y).

ringworm, LOL, brilliant idea!

so I'm comfortable with my swordoff.

Is this another case of interviewer changing text? She was referring to her shotgun, so I assume she actually said 'sawed-off'... well, at least it didn't saw 'sod off'...

The interview was probably conducted over the phone and so I imagine that was just a case of the interviewer typing what they thought was being said rather than changing Gina's words.
Ditto the 'swordoff' which I also assumed was meant to be 'sawed-off'.
Aside from the fact the guy should have known who "Josh" Whedon is, it was a good interview. Hopefully, we'll have more from the other cast members, especially Summer and Jewel.
Another nit:

"Josh has a flare"

Signal flare? Flared trousers? Huh?
Ugh. Gina is just lovely, but I wish I had had ringworm's idea. It was just sickening to see 'Josh' that many times, as well as so many obviously omitted words.
I'm thinking that this writer has some sort of "auto completion" feature enabled in his/her text editor that turns "Jos" -> "Josh". I was originally thinking a spell checker, but there are too many mispelled words for that idea to hold water...
Sort of a faux pas the way he brought up 'Soccer Moms', eh?
Oh man the Josh's were a bit hard and I nearly abandoned the interview too. I know it's been said before, but it really is rather frustrating at times.
Josh. Eh.
Nice to hear from Gina, however. I'm loving the multitude of interviews today. :)
It's very odd, though, how after all those Josh-es one of the questions on page 2 has Joss but it also has (Whedon) after it. I saw that, sat back, and thought, is that necessary? I mean, it's not like that's the first time Joss is mentioned, though it is the first time his name is correct! Weird.
Gina's final, unequivocal "yes" has a nice ring to it, I feel.

Maybe he though 'Josh' and 'Joss' Whedon were two different people - twins perhaps.
Poor Gina. Very nice interview being distracted from by this whole "Josh" thing...which was very annoying.

Ah Ha! I went to check on something and they have changed it to "Joss." Good on whoever brought it to their attention.
When I read it through, all the "Joshes" were corrected.

Ah, Gina. What a talented actress. What a commanding presence on screen. What a lovely, lovely... (cjl's libido control: "Quit it.") Oh, all right. Anyway, delighted to read about Gina's Ron Glass love. I grew up on Detective Harris (author of "Blood on the Badge") on Barney Miller, and seeing Ron on the big screen will be one of many huge pleasures of the Serenity movie.
Speaking of Ron Glass. Ron was an absolute joy to meet in person -- he is sooooo cool, so very zen, so very present and he has a constant smile on his face. I simply adore him.

And what about that laugh, huh? I agree - he is a great guy to meet.
haha, Cider. I have previously decided that Ron's laugh is possibly the best I've ever heard!
