Vote for Serenity. Coming Soon has a poll for most anticipated September movie release. Serenity is currently ranked first.

It's first now, with 25%!
The power of whedonesque?
48.7%... Yeah, we rule! :)
just voted, now's at 51% or so....
Displaying category 5 stupidity here, but where is the poll?
I have to say, I have never heard of most of the other movies listed. Maybe a September opening will turn out to be a very good thing.
catalyst2 - scroll down the page and it's on the right hand side underneath the dvd news section.
Over 53%...and counting!
54.5%.

I guess we will once more be accused of "too much publicity" or any other stupidity...
Right, Le Comite, because it's stupid for us to actually vote and vote enthusiastically!

(If Serenity only had, say, 15% of the votes cast, it would be read as lack of interest...just can't win!)
Well to be honest whilst I admire the efforts and enthusiasm of fans to promote the movie in various shapes or fashion, I would rather have the average movie goer voting in this poll and not Joss fans. It would be a good indication of how Serenity is seeping into the general consciousness.
purplehazel - thanks for that. I found it this time and voted. Serenity now at 55.2% with the next closest (Corpse Bride) at 14.1%!
Close contest!
I would rather have the average movie goer voting in this poll and not Joss fans.

Wait. Does that mean I'm not the only one, that would welcome it for a change to have at least one poll an untouched, unflooded, un-multiple-vote-stuffed impression on what the average site visitor actually thinks, instead of seeing it become a useless "contest" with results that are usually so skewed that nobody will say "oh my, this Serenity flick I never heard of has 'won' the poll, I need to check it out", but rather react like "oh, see, an unknown movie with a result that just reeks of vote manipulation so I can happily ignore this extremely unlikely result, because it's obviously not representative"? (Was that sentence somewhat longish?)
I voted. Just once, however.
Sixty-something percent.
Some have expressed concern about seeing Serenity at 60 percent and that "reeks of voter manipulation", but I honestly think the average person is like "So what if they manipulated it? The people who did must REALLY look forward to this movie"

We Whedonesquers worry too much I think - what other movie can boast to have nearly as much fan anticipation for it? =) Now let's hope Universal does the huge publicity blitz this movie needs to draw in the average Joe...
Actually, I don't think that we vote stuff at all. It's just that when something get's posted on Fireflyfans, Serenitymovie, Buffy.nu or here the fans just comes around in hoards and they all vote once. And that's enough since we're so very many.
The site tells me "you have already voted" when I go to check the latest results - I haven't even tried to vote more than once. And if I see good poll results like that for any movie, it makes me more likely to check it out in some way; at least read the reviews. Ultimately I end up more likely to see it. It is pretty natural to wonder what the fuss is about.
