Serenity web chat with Joss, Morena, Summer and Nathan today! The fun begins at Empire Online at 12.15pm BST (GMT+1). So get your questions ready (chat now over - hopefully a link to a transcript will come along shortly).

And for those of you who were wondering about who turned up at the UK and Ireland fan screenings last night. Here's the list.

Dublin: Sean and Jewel
London: Joss and Summer
Birmingham: Nathan and Morena
Manchester: Gina and Adam

Oh goodie! I'm not sure if I can do it tho. Oh dear. Lost Finale...Joss...Lost...Ahhh Joss!! ;)
I'll definitely try to catch this. Again I'm disappointed there hasn't been a screening in Belfast yet. Perhaps it was because the BDH's had to go in pairs so they could only do four screenings (with Alan Tudyk being busy elsewhere). I really hope they have a Belfast screening.
Nixygirl, can you record it and watch it later?

Can somebody tell me what's going on with this website? It says COMING SOON and I can't figure out how to go to the chat. Is it something that only shows up at the time of the chat? Or is it my browser? I'd like to take part in this, since I'm awake anyway. Help?

Anybody know what they are using for their chat? Java Applet? Flash? Still praying it wont be some Active-let's-exclude-everyone-not-using-IE-X module.
People can log in now. Just click on the link.
Just noticed.. using the link to default.html from the other thread was NOT a good idea to get in *g*
Anybody else unable to log in?
I'm in but there's technical problems apparently.

Aye we've been told to log out and then come back in five minutes

Argh. They made us leave so they could let Joss, Summer, and Nathan in. And now I can't get back in. Oh no!

Yeah I'm getting "connection failed. try again later". There must be 100s trying to login. Heee now I got "connection broke down".

Is anyone able to get in?
I'm getting "connection broke down" too. Wah!
I'm in. Morena there as well.
How, Simon? Just repeated logging in?
Yes that's what I did.
I was going to help transcribe the chat too. I hope somebody is doing that.
Yea not happy Jan, I was in for ages than as soon as the BDH came in I was jammed! I know other Ozzies are seeing the whole thing. I missed Lost...well I taped it and kinda half watched it but still!!
It's ok, Nixy, I'll tell you what's in the hatch so you don't have to watch it. The hatch is full of every single sock that's ever been lost when people do their laundry. Next season they're renaming the show Lost Socks.

Yeah, I don't get it either.
I cheated. When they asked us to leave I stayed. I feel guilty now, though.
sigh. Can't access this at work.
Say hello to them for me!
*sighs* it's over now. That was fun, moved too for me to transcribe. I think others were doing screen captures.
I thought about doing that, curlywurly, but I thought I'd be nice. I guess it doesn't pay to be nice. :(

I give up. I guess I'll hop into bed and watch some Restless. From the looks of things, they'd probably never get to my question anyway.

Sigh. Fate, once again keeps me from talking to Joss. Oh, well. :/
*lol* curlywurly, don't feel bad. That part never even showed up on my side, so I only read it here, logged in again and.. chat was already underway.

I thought about doing a log and just copy/pasting everything.. when I noticed you couldn't even mark text in the first place *grrr*. Maybe I should have filmed my desktop.

That was so cute. And moved far too fast to keep a record. One bit I did like though, was a question about which Buffy/Angel characters watched Firefly. Joss said Buffy/Angel characters were fictional so they didn't watch it, but the actors who played them watched it under pain of death.

Andrew would so have watched it, though.

Edited for inept spelling

Some of the questions that the moderators allowed in were so silly and lame -- and many people complained that their questions didn't get in. I know mine didn't make the cut. So I felt there were many missed opportunities there. And at the end, everyone jumped in so quickly, that Joss's last post flew by -- all I saw was the red text and his name -- and I couldn't hold the scroll up long enough to read it. Oh, well.

Still, I do hope some transcript will be made available somewhere.
esg - Lost Socks - ROFLMFAO!!! Genius!
Palehorse, Joss wrote "I'm leaving now, I've never been so insulted and besides the Empire office smells of soup. I don't think this 'interweb' will ever catch on." (Paraphrasing slightly)

You can turn the autoscroll off to stop it flying by.
Hahahah Lost socks...very funny!
OK they have some transcripts up at SenOz here

For the Buffy fans...
Joss: Lucinda, much as I love ho-hos, I don't have plans for a Buffy-Angel movie, and I don't think Sarah or David are lacking fo work
Joss: However, I do hope to visit the Buffyverse again soon

Also I have 4 screenshots Here click on each of them to read them a little better.

Did Summer get any questions? What did she say? Man, I have so many things I'd love to ask her. "What's your favorite crisp flavor?" Come on.
Thanks, zz9, for the quote and for the tip. I'll remember that next time. I'm still very much a novice at webchats.
Some parts about the River Tam Sessions were posted on Session 416:

On August 25, Empire Online held a chat with Joss, Nathan, Summer, and Morena. Several questions were asked about the RIver Tam Sessions, and those exchanges and remarks are included here.

*

Trienco: The River session videos. How official are they, as Universal still denies knowledge. Are they just playing along or is it handled by someone else?

Summer: Trienco, I don't know...

Joss: Trienco, I also deny knowledge of those things that I wrote and shot and am in.
*

SimonWho: Summer, was it fun stabbing Joss in the throat with a pen?

Summer: Always a good laugh!
*

Joss: beingrad, dance of joy was fun, though I hope never to be asked to do it again. But at the end of the day, what's more fun than being stabbed in the throat with a pen by Summer? About which I know nothing, and deny any involvement.
*

Pete: Joss - when did you come up with the idea for the River Session videos. And when did you and summer get round to filming them?

(This went unanswered, as the chat had just ended.)

I can believe I missed it!
Well I did consider leaving the chat, electricspacegirl, but I had a feeling I wouldn't get back in. If they couldn't fit everyone in at that point I didn't see how they'd be able to fit everyone in five minutes down the line so I took my chance.

Anyway, it was a good chat. It felt a bit like speed-dating considering the pace of the questions and answers.
Guess I missed it.

But I've had previous experiences at the other side of the line. Being the one answering questions. It's funny and hectic. You have like very little time, a lot of people wanting to ask questions.

The moderator let us control the lenght for each answer, but we couldn't take too long to answer a question, since there were a lot of pending questions and more people joining the chatroom. Also, even though I do type pretty fast, I'm "a pro" in terms of switching letters typos.

Although when I did those chats, we were all sitting in only one computer station, with one person typing for all. Guess it might be, even more complicated if you're working in multiple stations.
I was a little confused with the timing and had to go out. I probably would have not got in or something anyway. Transcripts would be greatly appreciated.
It would be great is someone could edit the Q+As to make sense. You'd see one of the guests answer "No, not really" and you'd have to quickly search to find what the question was!
