Sarah Michelle Gellar - "5th Sexiest Female TV Star of All Time". This survey was carried out by a British supermarket chain. Still no details about which particular aisle the survey was conducted in.

Ignoring the fact that this was carried by Sainsburys (which took a lot of willpower on my part), nice to see that Buffy still has a lot of recognition amongst the British public.

SMG is by far the prettiest and the classiest of all the women listed.
Yeah, I guess. I just never found SMG sexy or anything. But definitely pretty, beautiful, blahblahblah.
Sorry, but that list is just silly. Where's Farrah? Heather Locklear? Barbara Eden? Elizabeth Montgomery? Eva Longoria has been on TV for one year and she's the sexiest woman of all time? Come on....

I think people forgot there was TV before 1990.
I agree, kdavid323, although I suppose we should reserve judgment until we see the complete list. But my own Top Ten would certainly make room for Farrah, as well as Lindsay Wagner, Lynda Carter, Diana Rigg, and Joanna Lumley, to name but a few. I'm guessing the poll was conducted exclusively amongst 8-18 year olds. It's totally one of my pet peeves to see a poll or list that is described as a "best of all time" that is in no way, shape or form representative.

Christopher, this has to be the ultimate YMMV question, but, suffice it to say, she floats my boat. :)
Ah....Diana Rigg. Now she was a class act. Still is!

Nice choices, SNT..
I'd also have to add Julie Newmar and Jaclyn Smith to the list.
Cheryl Ladd, Victoria Principal, Anne Francis (from the late, lamented and forgotten "Honey West", and Charisma Carpenter, who not only floats my boat; she keeps my deckhands abreast and opens my sea cock.
Another vote for the amazing Ms. Rigg. A great actress who had no problem pulling of the skintight cat suit thing. And why are we all forgetting, I ask, about our own Ms. Hannigan? I mean, how many actresses could make an eskimo suit sexy?
All the main women in BtVS and AtS are sexy.
I've never thought of SMG as sexy. Attractive yes, sexy nope. Charisma Carpenter, Alyson Hannigan and Emma Caulfield are. Diana Rigg, Lucy Lawless, Hudson Leick.

Oh and I'm a straight woman so it's not like I fancy them, but I can still tell sexy when I see it.
I suspect not all that many people here will know who I am talking about, but back in the distant days of my youth Katie Manning definitely did it for me.

As for SMG, well, all I can say is, "Smart chicks are so sexy!"
I'm pretty sure we can all agree that sexiness is subjective, yeah?

Gillian Anderson when she was healthy.
Eva Longoria ? ugh. she's got chicken legs. i can't think of SMG as sexy either, but only because i'm old enough to be her mom and have always thought her mom must just adore her, and i would too if she were my kid.

Julie Newmar has my vote as the sexiest tv actress, ever.
Sexiest TV actress ever? Zoe Lucker! Most definetely! Not only was she beautiful, but Tanya Turner was always so manipulative, devastingly evil, bitchy, snide, sarcastic and ambitious. Which are all traits I love in women.

And on the debate of SMG being sexy, whilst in "Buffy" I didn't particuarly find her sexy, but 'Cruel Intentions'....ye gods! Now THAT was sexy with a capital S. Mainly because SMG was manipulative, devastingly evil, bitchy, snide, sarcastic and ambitious.

Kill me now.
It will be interesting to see the full top 100 list.

I also enjoyed the news bite on the side that actor Brain Cox will be joining the cast of 'Deadwood' next season.
For me SMG's the sexiest woman in Buffyverse, but I've never found Charisma sexy. So,I guess, I'm a straight woman who can't tell sexy when she sees it.
