Want to see Serenity early? Live in Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis, Greenville or Memphis? Then pop over to CHUD.com, they've really rallied behind the movie.

I live in Charlotte but I'm a horrible drawer. Still ya gotta try.
I'm seeing Serenity tomorrow! And I'm bringing my brother, who's never seen it. Can't wait!

Good luck to CHUD.com contestants.
I soooo need to move to the States or Europe. :(
ESG, you'll love it!

One thing that has been bothering me since the London screening was the reception Joss got after the movie. Having read about the fan response at sceenings in the US I hope that since he lived in the UK for some time that he realised that although we were much more reserved (we didn't even give him a standing ovation for gods sake!) we still thought the movie was fantastic. For two solid hours everyone sat in complete silence, except when laughing, concentrating on the screen and when we were leaving the talk was how great it was and how funny Joss was in person.
It's just that being English our version of absolutly fantastic is polite applause and "Jolly good" or similiar.

If you read this Joss, trust me, we loved it.
zz9. Joss must know what you're talking about. After all, he did pen Rupert giles ;)
Joss is a complete Anglophile and was educated in England from what I can remember, I'm sure he's well used to the ways of the British.
But we didn't even give him a standing ovation! We just saw a fantastic movie made with blood, sweat and tears, by a writer/director and cast oozing with talent and niceness, and we just sat there!

No wonder Hollywood thinks we're all evil!
Just saw it again in Toronto where half the audience was comprised of other people - those who may or may not have seen Firefly. Lots of passes handed out at comic book stores, I understand.
The reaction was very positive. You could tell who knew the show because of some of the reactions - some groups would laugh harder or gasp louder but everyone laughed where they were supposed to and the theatre was absolutely silent when it should have been. Not a cough, not a crinkle of popcorn bag, not a breath. It was awesome. And the movie? Better than the first time.
I just wanted to clarify, I've seen Serenity but just not the finished version. God, I'm so excited. It's too early in the day to be this excited.

nonsense, esg, the day of my prescreening I was sitting in class thinking: "12 hours till Serenity", "11 hours and 58 minutes till Serenity", etc...
Yeah, same here. Hell I was more excited the weekend before than I've ever been on the night of going to see any other film. In fact I want to see it again about as much as I've wanted to see my other most anticipated films (LOTR's, Spidy 2 and Matrix 2).
Joss got a several minute standing ovation in Edinburgh at Monday's screening. Before the movie even began! Several of the lines got rounds of applause, as did the Universal logo...

I think the Scots bailed us out.
It's 6:46 AM here. I woke up at 5 AM. I didn't get to bed until well after 1 AM. I'm way to excited and if I'm not careful I'll be too tired to see the movie!

Wait, what am I saying? Sleep is for wussies!
Same here Lioness, not a sound, no coughs, no talking, no phones, no sweet wrappers, nothing. I have never seen a movie with everyone completly focussed on the screen.
