Wanna see Serenity in Portland today (Thursday, Sept 1)? Electricspacegirl has extra passes to the Portland press screening of Serenity at 7pm today.

She says: "This is last minute, but if you would like a pass, show up and tell Sara, who's handing them out, that Elizabeth sent you. Just look for the folks with the Serenity/Firefly buttons, t-shirts, etc. I am wearing a Joss is Boss button and a Serenity button. I can't guarantee you'll get in because that depends on where you are in line and how many of the press show up."

Here's the info:

Thursday September 1, 7:00 p.m.
Lloyd Center Cinemas
1510 NE Multnomah Blvd. Portland
Seating begins at 6:30 p.m.
Suggest lining up early starting at 5:30 p.m.

That's awesome! Too bad I don't live in Seattle anymore.

Question is, who the heck has extra passes to some press screening in Birmingham/Atlanta?!?
Actually, it wasn't me with the passes, I was just helping out the moderator of PDX Browncoats. She had 20 extra passes and when she was handing them out to everyone in line, she still had more. The funny thing was, there apparently was a group of Asian people who received passes from youbored.com, and the number of people who showed up was the exact number of seats they had available. I guess a little synchronicity was at work tonight.

Oh, and the movie was AWESOME. It was my first time seeing it finished. I love the score and I love the story even more with it. This is an EPIC film, and a shining moment for Joss as a writer and as a director. Someday I hope to meet that man, shake his hand and just say thank you. This is truly the story I needed.

Now I'm just going to sit and bask in the wonder.
