New Serenity trailer? Not sure of the origins of this one or the purpose, but it's appeared online. It might be the first TV teaser, or a short cinema teaser for the UK... May require registration. Make sure you choose the Windows Media version.

Why the Windows Media Version? The Quicktime one is working fine for me.
I was going to ask the same question about QT v. WM, but for some reason the QT isn't loading for me.

Actually (editing here) I can't get any of them to work now except the low-qual QT, and that seems to be the same trailer I've seen already?

Do you have the latest QT? I had to upgrade to version 6.5.
I'm on QT Pro 7.

(And the Winmedia ones won't do anything at all.)

Take that back, I seem to have gotten the Winmedia ones down this time.

But, again, we've seen these, havent' we?

I think there's a couple of very brief scenes that I haven't seen before.
I haven't even SEEN this movie yet, And I already love it... How sad!
Anyone notice that the Quicktime Trailer is different to the Windows Media Trailer? I believe that the Windows Media Trailer is the trailer that Joss played at Comic Con in 2004.
Is there a direct download for this trailer?

Usually, I manage to work around and find the link, but I have no success with that one so far...
I am answering myself: I finally managed to work around, and here is a direct download link.

EDIT: well, it does not seem to work so well the second time I try it... worked well the first time though.

Mmmh, either I didn't get the right file, or the difference between this trailer and the precedings are negligible...
This is weirdness indeed... I've spoken to UIP and it's being investigated. It's not supposed to be a new trailer I believe, it might well be the old comic-con trailer. A proper new trailer will be online soon.
From what I remember, there are a few scenes in this trailer that were also in the Comic Con 2004 trailer, but for the most part it's not the same thing.
For those that want to download the Windows Media trailer to their hard drive this is what you do, WARNIG! It’s not that straight forward, but it works.
(Instructions Updated).

Click on HIGH CONNECTION SPEED>> (6MB)

The moment the Media Player comes up you click the stop button.

Right click on the video image and select Properties.

At the bottom of the Properties Box it has Location:

Next to Location it has the link shown something like the one below, Waning, this Link changes every time you play the Clip!

http://www.uip.co.uk/premiereclub/UIP_T_GetTrailer.aspx?L=TV27218055292005121654&X=MO282MW294XP926PK704WG891KN121&FE=&FE=.wmv

Right Click on the Link and select, Select All, Right Click on the Link again and select Copy.

Click Cancel on the Properties Box

At the top of Internet Explorer Right Click in the Address window where it has http:// and select Paste.

Hit the Enter key on your Keyboard.

It should automatically start downloading the clip to a Temporary directory on you hard drive, if it doesn’t work the first time try it again, it will work.

Once it finishes downloading it will start playing in Windows Media Player automatically.

On the right hand side of Windows Media Player it will show UIP_T_GetTrailer.

Right Click on UIP_T_GetTrailer and select Properties

Next to Location it will have something like what’s shown below, this shows you where the clip is on your PC.

C:/Documents and Settings/Zoic_Fan/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE57N9FBPO8/UIP_T_GetTrailer.asx

Copy and Paste the part of the directory that is shown below into the Address window in internet explorer and hit Enter. You need to do this because the clip is in a hidden directory on your PC.

C:/Documents and Settings/Zoic_Fan/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE57N9FBPO8

This directory above is only an example of what the directory will look like, it’s not what the actual directory will be on you PC.

The rest should be easy, just find the UIP_T_GetTrailer.asx file in this directory and copy it into the directory that you want it to be in.

Good Luck.

This is the international trailer that has been out for some time now. The original Whedonesque story from July 20th contains broadband download links :)

The higher quality Windows Media trailer is the original Comic-con trailer, which has never been available for download, until now.

Ah, the HQ Media player trailer link was broke when I got there, and the Apple HQ was just the old International trailer. I assumed they would be the same. I've seen the Comic-Con trailer download somewhere...just can't remember where...
That's the original trailer? Good lord I thought I would never see it online. Wow.
That is indeed one of the original trailers... I'm not sure why it's online. The 2nd International trailer will be getting a web premiere soon, I understand.
The links dont work for me I get "This page cannot be found".
Having seen the movie twice, including the final version just two days ago, there's some scenes that I don't even reconize from the movie. Does anyone know if this was this trailer shown at the 2004 SDCC or the 2005 SDCC? To me it seems like 2004 since I doubt there was even a rough cut back then and also because the movie ends saying that Serenity is coming in 2005.
