"Veronica Mars" premiere footage on UPN site. 3 minute clip from the episode followed by a minute trailer which features first looks at Charisma in the show.

Looks good. And I'm thinking Charisma doesn't get older, she just gets hotter.

Wow, the promo was pretty good. I'm excited for the new season. I hate myself for having read spoilers for the first episode, but I'm not going any further than that.
Oh my god, that little preview of the first episode almost made me tear up about. I didn't quite realize how much I've missed the show until I saw that. And that trailer thingy was great aswell, I'm really psyched. The only thing that bugs me now is that IT WON'T START FOR ANOTHER 26 DAYS?!?! Oh the pain, the pain...

Shouldn't it be about time to consider including Veronica Mars into the Whedonesque family since they have so much incommon, most fans adore it and even Joss raves about it. I'm sure that he himself would like to keep track of the show and what better way than having the number 1 site dedicated to him do it for him... I'm just coming with suggestions! :)
I wanted to warn people that there is an extended VM promo floating around the internet that reveals who was at the door. I think it's something that aired on UPN but I'm not sure. So be careful for that if you want to stay unspoiled. I'm purposely avoiding it.

On topic, this promo made me so excited! It makes the show seem even more detective noir than last season. Can't wait!

Makes much sense, especially the part about JW unreservedly recommending this show.

I just got into the show at ep 16 (in Canada). It's stupendous.

Please
electricspacegirl, I am about 90% certain that this *is* the extended promo, as I have seen two promos, a long one and a short one, and this is the long one. It is Leo at the door that people were talking about, but I think it's pretty clear that, while he's at Veronica's door at some point during the episode, he's not THE ONE at the door. So I don't think you have anything to fear.
Regarding Veronica Mars and Whedonesque, well there's our Flickr group where we've had some great discussions about many shows. And don't forget there are some very good Veronica Mars fansites out there that deserve the traffic and your views of the show.
I agree with Simon. Plus, Whedonesque DOES allow threads and limited coverage of VM, if it applies to something Jossy, just like it did Tru Calling and Point Pleasant.

I would cringe to think of any non-Joss shows infiltrating this pure site. Plus, hey, the flickr is very cool! Have had many a great Deadwood conversation over there.
It wasn't enough for Veronica Mars to belong here just by having two of its directors also direct episodes of Angel and Buffy as well as having the same Sound guy for all the Whedon shows plus VM, so why would it matter that the cast now includes Charisma Carpenter and Alyson Hannigan?

Meanwhile, all kinds of other stuff makes its way on here, somehow, with little quibble. Who knows why, lol?
I guess we still have to try our best to come up with vague reasons why Veronica Mars news should belong to this site. I really understand your reasoning behind your decision to not include Veronica Mars news, I was just hoping.
Really excited to see the new season kick off. Missed visiting Neptune every week.
Thanks for your input guys. I think Simon's post makes it pretty clear that there are many alternative fora for general Veronica Mars discussion. When there are specific reasons for linking, such as a profile of Charisma's (or Aly's) character, or an episode written or directed by an actual Whedon alum, or articles that discuss VM in conjunction with JW or one of his projects, fine. Everything else will be deleted/diverted.

It's got nothing to do with "coming up with vague reasons" - if the reason isn't clear and strong, the link is gonna go. And as for "all kinds of other stuff," I think you'll find that that other stuff has a genuine connection to Joss or his immediate cohorts. If you want to discuss site policy further, you can e-mail admins at whedonesque (at) gmail.com. Ta very much.
Ooh shiny, that clip and trailer has gotten me all excited about VM again. Been meaning to rewatch s1 but figured I'd wait for the dvds and then got distracted by Serenity fever and summer shows. VM looks like it'll be back with a bang soon enough however :)
Well, how's this for shallow? I don't like Kristen's longer hair. It's much less quirky and personable. However, the clips had me talking conversationally with my computer, "So the series starts tomorrow, then?" "No, it won't be for three weeks." "Really? You mean it will start tomorrow at eight, right?" "No, you'll have to wait." "I'm sorry, that does not compute, start the damned show tomorrow!" I'm not so good with the patient, which is why I usually avoid sneak tastes like this.
