Session 416 - First Excerpt. The fifth (and reportedly final) Serenity viral marketing clip.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. And coming soon to that site: all five clips in one file.

That's gotta hurt.
Hehe. "I'll have to write it down". Classic.
Yes nicely done!
How odd that the next time we see a somewhat lucid and thinking River, first time since the "Session 1" interview before she had joined the Academy, it's because she has a plan to deal with this guy.
Oh man, what a payoff!
Wow! That is really disturbing. The order in which these were released is really interesting. I was going to show them to a friend in chronological order, but I guess they really need to be seen in the order in which they were released.

I'm sorry this is the last one. I would like to keep getting more until Sept. 30th (are we almost there yet?).
My one lingering question: So who the Hell is "Paul Probo" anyway?

Bonus question: When do Joss and/or Summer come give me and session416.com the exclusive interview on the making of these clips? ;)
I think all will be revealed once these films are part of the DVD, but Joss' strategy in releasing the films, and when, worked well.
Love it.

"What is your mission?"

"I can't tell you."

"You can tell me anything."

"I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you."
Wow, the way this is done is .... amazing. What a punchline... but only if you know what comes after. Unbelieveably well done.
Whoah! Amazing stuff. What a pay-off for someone who's been watching the clips since the beginning.
That was excellent, I found myself giggling maniacally at "I'll have to write it down"
I too wish we were getting more, but they have definitely been fun. Not sure on showing them to people to convince them to come to Serenity mind.

I have a friend who got hooked on the clips, went and watched the series, and now is awaiting the movie.
Excellent finish! When she said "I'll have to write it down." and then it cut out, I laughed. Summer and Joss did an awesome job on these.
The other clips broke my heart, but this one made me laugh. Well done!
Terrific payoff. Color me impressed.
Amazing. Unlike with Fox, releasing them out of order worked perfectly.
Is Joss really left-handed, or did he use his left hand so we could see the pen?
Joss is really left-handed.
zencat, how cool would that be if that was Joss' intention?

"Hey Fox, you wanna broadcast out of order? Good idea. Let me SHOW you how to do it right..."
Yeah it was cool... but why would the doctor have her kill the main interviewer? Why not some nobody? It's a mystery if you ask me...
It could just be that she made that up as a means to get the pen.
Paul_Rocks: Yeah I was about to edit my own post after I realized that, yeah, she must have made it up. NOW the clip's really funny to me! ;D
She's still unstable. That's the point. Simon also gets her out while she is still like that also.
This felt like the ending of NFA. Not the same way, of course, but the whole "there's a few seconds left, how is he gonna end this one...oh, there's a way to do it."
Yay! Joss is a sinistral, just like me!
If she did make it up, she planned it for a while, because it was in the previously shown session where she said he hadn't given her a mission, and in this one that she says she now has a mission, which she'll need to write down.

I wonder what they did with her after that, and if that was really what they intended for her to do (and why), or not.
Dr. Mathias had it planned all along, how to get ahead in the Alliance, kill the competition using the crazy students (brilliant subplot for future shows!).
I really love these. I like the fact that we have been viewing them in a certain order, as they are released, that seems haphazard and out-of-sequence, but gradually the different parts make sense. Then you can view them in the correct order and see in happening in sequence.

These should totally be included in the Serenity DVD. It was also a great idea to have Joss playing the interviewer. And it is nice how it adds even more to the character and the story which sets up Serenity nicely. Less than a month now! :)
Joss' character's voice and manner totally skeeved me out, and I, too laughed maniacally at the delicious result of River's cleverness. I also think that River must have sensed Simon coming for her and killed her Examiner in order to escape.
