(SPOILER) Moviehole.net reviews 'Serenity'. Can you say glowing review? Judging by this comment "Thanks Joss. This is a superb directorial debut - and one sensational bit of cinema.". Safe to say yes really. (Minor spoilers in the review).

Jeez, that can only be good...need more of this!
This review is now featured on the Serenity page at Rottentomatoes.
I'm pretty sure this is actually an old review - I used to quote it on the front page of cantstopthesignal.co.uk for the last few months.
Yep. I am. Sorry guys, the fact they had quoted part of the review early confuddled me.
Yes, I'll say that was a glowing review. Sir Whedon. I think it would be great to get Joss knighted, wouldn't he be thrilled.

I was just checking out the Rotten Tomatoes user ratings. Interesting indeed. A 9.7 out of 10. 'Course, there may be a browncoat or two in there ;)
Is this guy a Firefly fan?
'Course, there may be a browncoat or two in there ;)

But if you read some of the comments, you find that some people are just discovering Firefly, having recently seen only an episode or two, and they have either really enjoyed the film at one of the early screenings, or they are really looking forward to its release. I think this bodes well for the BDM.

Anyway, I thought this was an enjoyable review. And I'm glad it's now featured at Rottentomatoes. So many people check out that site while deciding on what to see at the movies. With the review stressing the good writing, the humor, and the adventure -- as well as the characterizations -- this has got to be a decisive factor in favor of going to see the film.
I've just heard some of the biggest UK publications (literally millions in circulation) are running 5 star reviews for the movie, too. And they're even handing over early good quotes to help the promotional posters and things, too. It's a good time right now in the UK.
Sounds awesome. I lent out my Firefly boxset last night in an attempt to convert another person before the release. Hopefully he'll race through them and I can have a pop at one more.
My friend Laurel has my Firefly DVDs. Now my dad wants to borrow them too because he keeps missing it on the Sci-Fi channel. I need another set! Anyone want to donate to me another set for the cause of recruiting new Browncoats? ;)
Wow that is very very kool! A lot better than the 3 star review done by Austraila's Empire Mag.
Thats great news gossi, but do you know which papers and when the reviews might be printed yet?
Great review, although I'd be even happier if this reviewer weren't already clearly a Firefly flan. I'm looking forward to reading or hearing about the reviews gossi speaks of...and I'm perplexed that Australia's Empire only gave Serenity three stars. Harrumph. I wonder what they didn't love about it.
