David Boreanaz digs up 'Bones'. It's Boreanaz extravaganza as our David talks to iFilm about his new show (which the Hollywood Reporter liked). And in this Metro News interview, he chats about where he wants his film career to go.

He certainly is chatty but I am not always quite sure exactly what he is saying. I am really glad he got this gig - I think it will be fun to see more of his humorous side.
I found this quote interesting:

"It’s the first time I’ve worked with someone who has allowed me to collaborate in a way that is accepted. You throw an idea out, you don’t get the nod of the head, you get, 'let’s do that and see where you can take this character, let’s hone him now.'"

I wasn't going to watch this, but the pretty positive reviews have changed my mind....

While collaboration is good... what scares me about this quote is that it says to me is that maybe the character isn't fully fleshed out to the writers. Maybe I'm being paranoid :) Or maybe I just tend to side with the writers instead of the onscreen artistes.
I like how they don't tell him much about future episodes so he has to develop the character on his own. You can see a little of himself shine through.
Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna watch it, but not giving him enough to work with can cause sudden jarring shifts.
Based on his other interviews it sounds like he just inputs little things such as minor likes and dislikes.
I think it looks good and can't wait to see it!
Looking forward to the next interview AND to the premiere tomorrow night! VCR set and ready!

ruthless1, I totally hear you as sometimes I feel the same way!

*chuckles* you gotta love David Boreanaz; when he gets excited about something it always shines through, be it in the written word or on video.

While all the print and e- press is great, I want to know why we aren't seeing many TV interviews. Does this stuff usually wait untill sweeps to see if the show sticks or not?
(sigh) So it's all about the sexual tension between the investigators...and then right after that's revealed, the interviewer asks (ostensibly without irony) if the series is a "bone of the week" mystery.

Sounds like they're targeting X-Philes.
