"...the foul rag and bone shop of the heart." Angel quotes from Yeats' poem The Circus Animals' Desertion when he's talking to Wesley in AtS S4x11 "Soulless". Fred and Gunn get Shakespeare's Othello, Connor is Oedipus to Angel's Laios and what to think about Angelus' humming the Teddy Bear's Picnic song?

Yeat's poem contains references to "The Countess Cathleen" (Cathleen sells her soul to save her people) and On Baile's Strand (Cuchulain kills his son)

The finale for season 4 'Restless' was a whole bunch of literary references. I loved that episode :).

The epilogue to season 1 "The Puppet Show," in which Buffy, Xander, and Willow perform a snippet of Oedipus Rex. Because as we all know, BtVS is "like a Greek tragedy!"
