(SPOILER) Serenity Score Track Listing Posted. The official track listing for David Newman's 'Serenity' score is now online, but beware big spoilers in the titles!

Varese Sarabande has posted both the cover art as well as the official track listing for David Newman's score to 'Serenity' - there are spoilers in the titles, so avoid if you don't want to know about the plot.

Oh, for the sweet love of...

Why would they do that? Why wouldn't they come up with something nice and poetical instead of outright spoilers? I was lucky enough to attend a screening, but I bet there'll be more than one Browncoat out there to see the soundtrack in a store, pick it up, read the back and get all spoiled.

Track titles aside, I can't wait can't wait can't wait for this soundtrack.

What does that mean????
At least they fixed the spelling errors from the one I saw first! I have to agree.. why would you title things with huge spoilers like that?

Oh, and gurglesnap.. did they really do that?
Well, that sure answers some of my questions about what happens to who in the film!!! Is this track listing possibly the biggest Serenity spoiler *ever*?
Wow. I can't believe they did that. My goodness.
I keep thinking, "No spoilers!" and then I remember I've been to a screening. Yep, spoilery. They need to add "spoiler" to the display online and in the stores.

The rest of the world could learn a thing or two from our beloved black.
Wissxwe, don't know if this will make you feel better, but there are even bigger ones out there. Tread carefully!!
Does is suck that the track titles reveal spoilers? Yes. Is it, as gurglesnap points out, nothing new? Yes. I think it's pretty much industry standard that soundtracks come out before movies and have titles like that. I've gotten used to avoiding them before seeing a movie.

That being said, Batman Begins took a different approach.
The Batman soundtrack is quite um...cryptic. Should I be looking up these large-size words? ;0)
Yikes! Looks like anyone who buys this will have to hide it away from everyone who hasn't been to a screening until after they see the movie... how depressing!
re: Batman Begins soundtrack

Each of its tracks are named after a different kind of bat (I guess part of the latin name for them), which is sorta cool. Good on Warner Music for letting the composer get away with that (or perhaps it was a smart exec's idea. I know they're out there, smart execs. Mary Parent who aquired Joss for Universal, a few others).
Very smart. I guess I'll hold off buying the soundtrack until after I see the movie.

Well, composers name their own cues, so blame David Newman.
