A good interview. Devin managed to ask some quite different questions, and elicit interesting (well, what else?) answers. And, although I still despise the term "fan-wank," I like Joss's positive spin on its usage. Looking forward to CHUD's next installment.

Yep, this interview is just great. You can always count on CHUD to bring you good stuff, even though you might not always agree with them. But then again, when you've got Joss Whedon as the interviewee, how could you possibly fail?

I still get bugged when press in general, simply differentiates firefly fans from buffyverse fans, like they're completely different people. Like being both at the same time or simply a whedon fan in general, is the exception.

I don't know Numfar, I've seen alot of Firefly fans who never watched Buffy(or hated it) and I've seen Buffy fans who aren't even interested in seeing Serenity next week.

What a great review! Along with that supercool In Focus interview, one of my very favorites with Joss.

I loved some of the offbeat questions provided, plus Joss' offbeat answers...especially the one about Inara. There's a lot of thought that was put into Inara, and I'm finally glad that Joss put it into word form so I didn't have to use my own brian to do so.

Also, an interesting note...



So, if I'm interpreting that correctly, Joss was planning Firefly/Serenity since 1996?

If so, wow...

I like what Joss had to say about Registered Companions. I just think other characters would be more aghast whenever a Companion is called a "whore". And I think Inara should be more indignant about it. Seems to me calling a Companion a "whore" would be like calling a diplomat a "professional liar" to his face or something like that.

It one area where I felt the show was a little inconsistent.
