Can the blogosphere win it for Serenity? Interesting analysis on the role of blogs in boosting ticket sales.

Broken link. Try this one instead.

And now...back to lurking :-)

Link seems to working at my end but I've changed it over if people are having diffs. Hey you don't have to lurk. Come post comments :).
Can you post to say you are lurking? If you have posted doesn't that mean you are no longer lurking? ;)

Good grief, I think it is time to go home - you have to love the 14 hour working days after 3 hours of sleep the night before!
Small world, I have this guy’s book about PR on the internet. Anyhow, very nice to see that Universal are making full use of the internet and sounds like a smart thing to do. Let’s be honest, it took them long enough to get into gear, so this is very gratifying.

I don't get using the faith based company though. Huh? I have been away for a while, what did I miss? Has Joss got religion? Have we all got religion? I thought we already had a Superior Being we all humbly prostrate ourselves in front off in the form of the Joss. I was quite happy with the status quo. Sorry folks, but I am not learning new rituals of worship unless they involve naked young men with oiled bodies.

Only kidding of course, but I really was surprised to read this. While Joss work is always moral in the best possibly way, I just don't see the link to 'reaching people of faith' here. Like I said - huh?
I don't think it's a spoiler to say that the movie does have an interesting, sort of nontheistic (this is Joss after all), take on the issue of faith/belief.

I think it was a problem specific to my laptop as the link worked fine for me after start-up this morning. So... whoopsie.

And I'm slowly working my way away from all-lurk-all-the-time :-)
Somebody noted yesterday that Josh Marshall had 200 press screening tickets he was giving away. Today he says he's gotten 800 requests. The interesting part is that he doesn't seem to be at all familiar with Firefly/Serenity, but thinks it 'looks like fun'...and he was completely overwhelmed by the response!
