(SPOILER) Joss internet radio interview from The Fandom available for download. (mp3) A nice interview, not the standard questions Joss has been getting. At the end there was a Q&A open to those in chat. Includes a transcript of Joss's answer about what it would take to return to TV.

Here's a partial transcript of the question I asked in regard to a possible return to TV for Joss.

IMMORTAL asks: "We know you're busy with movies but TV needs Joss. You've assembled some incredible writers over the years on your shows. Is there any way you can get some of the band back together, create a show and have them run with it?"

JOSS answers: "Well you know what, the problem is, you know when you create something you fall in love, you FALL in love and to uhh just...even people I adore, it's very hard to just say "okay I created this thing, ta-ta!" And part of it is about you know, I put my name on this, I have a responsibility for it. Part of it also is, like wait a minute there's a party going on and I can't be there? It's very VERY hard to tear yourself away. It's something that I'd like to do but in a weird way it requires as much of a committment as doing a show myself, it's just a different kind. So, umm, I'd like to, umm it's something I've talked to my friends about, umm, but you know they have to be in a powerful enough position and I have to be in a powerful enough position that we can actually pull it off and then I would have to find the time to give it what it deserves because I can't just you know, put my name on stuff. Umm, it's, it's much more complicated than that."

Chase: "I absolutely, I know what that's like, it would almost be like the Whedon studio."

JOSS: "Here's a lovely family, do you want to have a kid and let them raise it? They're really the nicest people. Well, you know gosh..."

Chase: "Right."

JOSS: "I'd be the classic TV movie surrogate mother, I'd have the kid and want to keep it."

Chase: "That would be well...yeah that would be very difficult. I can see that but you know..."

JOSS: "I think Kellie Martin will play me."

I have this playing while I type this... there are some big spoilers, although Joss segueways it away before it becomes HUGE ones. Just a terrific terrific interview.
Terrific interview; it's really long; I'll have to cut it off and get back to it later as I can't concentrate on it and Firefly on Sci-Fi at the same time. Can't wait to get back to it, though.
Very good interview, although I, too, am trying to watch Firefly at the same time (and correct a student's paper) -- so I want to listen to it again.
That was excellent, kudos on getting one of the only questions in IMMORTAL :)
Hehe. Joss has an extraordinary sense of humour. I'll have to come back to this later too, though.
Yes! Joss likes House!
