Tuesday Morning Quarterback mentions Firefly/Serenity. "Yours truly found it impossible to figure out what was going on in Firefly, other than that good-looking wisecracking people were zooming around the universe."

Check near the middle of the page. Nothing negative, just doesn't get Firefly. Praises Buffy though.

I couldn't find anything about 'Serenity' at this link, and amazingly enough I'd actually like to read what he has to say (I'm not over-dosed on reviews yet).

Easterbrook actually is pretty smart. He used to write for The New Republic. I'm frankly astonished that he couldn't follow the movie.

When you show the series out of order and not showing the pilot episodes that kinda, you know, sets up the whole 'verse, it certainly won't be easy to figure out what's going on.

Can't help but be a little amazed at the 'don't know what's going on other than zooming through space' remark. Did he watch them out of order on Fox? That would explain some confusion, but if you watch them on DVD....what's not to get? I mean...the characters say words, and do things and....those give you clues...

Well, I'm not familiar with his column at all, but purely judging by his Firefly remark....let's say it doesn't entirely give that impression...;-)
