Arnie and Eliza rumoured to have signed up for True Lies 2. Apparently she will reprise her role as Harry Taskers now grown up daughter (via IMDB).

All this according to IMDB today, with a direct quote from Eliza.

Didn't Eliza say something similar about 18 months ago?
Actually it comes from moviehole.net who got it from joblo.com who got it from an alleged interview in the Buffy magazine. So I'll change your subject line to reflect this.
I never learn. I guess they don't call it the Incorrect Movie Database for nothing...
I know what you mean. Has anyone actually read this interview with Eliza in the Buffy magazine?
Is Arnold really stocking up movies to be doing? I thought he'd continue on as a politician. It's odd to go back and forth.
Yeah... doesn't he have a state to run?
He does, but he's way down in polls. There's a pretty decent chance he'll be rather free, time-wise, at the end of this term.
Yeah... doesn't he have a state to run?

Yeah, I think he's way too busy going after special interest groups like firefighters and teachers and native americans to be in movies right now...but I'm not bitter...
Hey I wouldn't mind this getting off the ground since I approve of any movie with Eliza in it. And I've watched some stinkers to prove it!

Hehe I remember Eliza saying in an interview that Arnie's people approached her to do some photo ops with him during his campaign, to help get some younger voters, and she refused and was a little miffed at the idea that they'd assume she'd help him out politically. She said something about liking him as a person but that she doesn't see eye to eye with him at all on that level and was not going to vote for him either.

Yeah, I think he's way too busy going after special interest groups like firefighters and teachers and native americans to be in movies right now...but I'm not bitter...

Ah, yes the evil firefighters....and didn't he go after the evil nurses as well? If not, then he soon will I'm sure. Or that 'special interest group' of evil girl scouts....
Tom Arnold's been yacking about "fer sure" True Lies sequels for -- literally -- years.

None of them have panned out; I'm assuming this is just another one.
There is an actor/politician from one of the Southern states that kept both his careers going while in office. I think he is on Law and Order now as the DA...or maybe they have moved on. I have no idea what year I am watching when I see one in reruns.

Anyway, I do not remember his name, and I do not know if he is still in politics, and he is definately not as high profile as Arnold, but...

...Oh, and did the Gov of Minnisota keep wrestling while in office? I don't think so, unless you count what he was doing with the public and the legislature. ;-)
That's Fred Dalton Thompson, though he's semi-retired from politics. (The GOP did bring him in to work on something a few weeks back. Can't remember what...might have been the Supreme Court on behalf of John Roberts.)
I saw some footage of GWB hammering some nails into some dry wall, so HE'S kept his day job.

(Ohh.. Bit political there...)
And evil disabled people like me...
What is Arnie doing to disabled people?
Passed laws for our disibility health care that allows the state compensation fund to deny doctors requests for medical care. I'm trying to decide on my settlement and I have the option for lifetime medical care, but under Arnold's laws, I'd be completely screwed. I can't even get medication or an appointment.
Let's make a deal with Arnold- he can make True Lies 2, if he promises to never *ever* have a political career again.

I mean, I can just not go to the movies if I want to avoid him that way, but I'm having a little more trouble with the whole him governing the state I reside in thing.
Please do not believe the anti-Arnold tv spots. They are blatant lies. Unfortunately too few people actually learn about the issues and only believe tv spots funded by money grubbing unions on interested in their maintaining own power.
That sucks. I sympathize. I'm on disability and we don't even have state disability funds anymore in Oregon. It's all through the federal government and that takes years longer to get when you first apply. The Oregon Health Plan is now only for a certain number of disability recipiancts, when you used to be able to get on it if you were unemployed.
Didn't know there was anti-Arnold tv spots... I just know what doctors and lawyer tell me about why I'm screwed for medical care right now(and all he did was confirm what the doctors said). The problem is that I'm 25, disabled since I got hurt in 03. I'll need surgery by the time I'm 40 because I can barely walk now.
Please no. I love Eliza, but the first movie was such a mysogynistic piece of junk, I'd hate to see what they do with the second. . .

Riight, well I've seen a few spots but either the pro- or con- Arnie spots don't really tell you anything, they're just propaganda designed to push buttons like all political commercials. But to simply dismiss all the grievances from so many people and organisations as 'blatant lies' smells a tad like the exact same attitude.

There have been plenty of articles on those topics and while those ads were skewed, they certainly weren't blatant lies. Arnold has gone back on his word many times and he's screwed a lot of those people over financially. And I understand CA has troubles, but when someone makes enemies of nurses, teachers, native americans, disabled people, etc. etc, but doesn't rub a single person in the corporoate business lobbies the wrong way, well I that alone lets me know I woke up and smelled the coffee.

Yeah those evil unions of conglomerations of firefighters and teachers. Good thing Arnie leaves all those large companies alone. Lord knows they haven't hurt California a bit and they're certainly not greedy. Say, how's Enron doing these days? Well, at least they're not an evil union, so it's all good.

and GimpyD and electricspacegirl your posts prove you're probably just greedy, evil unionist as we all know Arnie is above reproach. You're probably nurses in disguise. Why do you hate america?;-)

Far be it from me to call it a classic or anything but I got the impression that the mysogynistic elements were more a deliberate parody of the James Bond movies. And at leastJamie lee Curtis' character transforms from shy housewife to able superspy instead of her just staying the damsel in distress.
