Mystery donor's identity revealed. A follow-up article in Monday's Columbian newspaper (Vancouver, WA) revealed the identity of the mystery man who bought and gave away $2500 worth of movie tickets to Serenity on opening day.

See "Investing in a passion" halfway down the page.

Heh, well, that clears that up, it seems. Not a rich guy, but he used an inheritance. Not sure that that's the way I would necessarily choose to spend that kind of money, but, hey, it's a free world.

The article doesn't mention if he managed to give away all the tickets or not, by the way. Would've liked to know that.
Wow, I didn't even hear about this when it happened.

But hey, I hope some lucky folks took a gamble and saw the BDM...
o...kay.

Hey, his money his choice on what to do with it. But....
Wow, I didn't even hear about this when it happened.

Seriously? The original news had a huge thread. The one that evolved into a big party at the end. Read it here.
Hey GVH, did you say party?
Oh, 'twas a party to be sure :) I assume it goes without saying that we can do without the drama from the beginning part of the Party Thread(tm)?
Without saying, zeitgeist, for sure.

And yep, Lioness, I did say party...why? ;-)
...but I'm glad you said it zeigeist. ;-)
Very very cool. If has no regerts then good for him. Man if only that could have been done in like 10 cities across the U.S. That would have generated a ton of publicity and probably gotten more people to see it.

I wonder if anybody will buy $2500 worth of DVD's and start giving them away. Maybe the Brown Coats should organize a DVD buying campaign. I would take one. :)
Gahh, just checked out that party thread I totally missed out on.

How did that happen?!

*sad*
Awww....here UnpluggedCrazy, have a cookie and feel better.

*passes over a cookie*
If these are *cough*extra special Dutch cookies*cough*, I’ll have one as well :)

(sorry, couldn’t resist. That’s what you get for being nice to other people.)
