Inside the Serenity DVD. If you didn't already know, the Serenity movie is out to buy today in three glorious formats. Anyhow, Moviefone has some deleted scenes (plus clips from the gag reel) you can watch and a Q&A with Joss as well. Apparently Wonder Woman could beat Buffy and River in a fight.

Meet the man who created 'Firefly,' 'Serenity' and the "nav sat trajectory."

Joss is famous at last!
I loved the way he called WW - Wonder Gal. Sounds like he knows this character pretty well now. She's as strong as the Hulk too, oh man, doesn't that sound kool!
I wish these deleted scenes had made it to the final version. In particular, I like the gag with the grenade. It's funny, it shows Mal's resourcefulness, etc., although the grenade itself was a little, um, under-designed. It would have helped, I think, to see Mal and Inara's escape. I thought the jump between scenes in the film was a little abrupt; a transition was needed. Perhaps the entire piece was unnecessary, but a little something there would have smoothed out a rough edge, without destroying the pacing.

In any case, I am SOOOOO looking forward to getting my copy tomorrow!

And I liked the Wonder Gal comment, too.
Wonder Woman can beat any woman's ass in a fight. Including a slayer or a crazy ballerina chick. She's a real amazon warrior there that Wonder Woman is. Aside from The Last Son of Krypton she can probably kick any guy's ass in a fight as well.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's hot pick for the week? Our very own Big Damn Movie, of course.
Wonder Gal was just a girl, until she found her strength and became a woman. And then she kicked eight tons of shit out of anything she had to.

I like to think.
Joss's description of Wonder Woman sounds like a description of Illyria.

"Subsequent events." Hee hee hee.
